Do you check bud trichomes or leaf trichomes

So did I mess up? Are you saying they should still be green?
In a perfect world yes but in reality your bud looks fine for a homegrow but your starting to loose sugar leaves at a point you need another two weeks of growth to fully mature.

Problems can happen where maturity slows or foxtails or the bud itself starts to yellow if not really well grown. You got bud though its just a matter of how much more they will ripen and how long till the plant starts turning actual bud to that yellow crisp.

We all been in this spot just keep us posted in a few days and we will see where its at.

You never fucked up :-)

Thanks brother. I definitely will keep the updates coming.

It means your giving them exactly what they need. Green is the most efficient in terms of growth and energy for plants as well.

Its not natural in anyway if your good at growing but a good exscuse if your not :-)
Do you follow what you're saying? Your saying it's not natural in anyway if you're good at growing, human cultivation of Marijuana is not natural in anyway. @Renfro I believe I've heard you say that yellowing should 9ccur towards the end no???

It is my assertion that when the plant is in late flower (ripening) you don't want too much nitrogen. Seeing fan leaves yellow from the bottom up is a good indication that the plant is using mobile nitrogen from those resources, a good thing unless it is happening too early or all of the sudden they all go yellow. I like to see it start the third week before they are done and slowly progress over the course of ripening. Thats just me. Some people like to have a pretty green plant but I believe the bud smokes harsh and lacks the flavor you get when the N:K ratio favors the K way more.

@Renfro , thank you for your time! The yellowing started slowly but has started to rapidly spread upward. Rapid to me is within a week. The biggest leafs first, then what you see now. Maybe more than a week? Plus, when they are totally yellow they are very thin and flimsy and will pull off with the slightest tug. I’m paranoid it’s going to over ripen. I suppose this is how one learns. Thanks again to all!

You will not over ripen the plants!!!

It is very hard to over ripen a plant. It is Very easy to harvest tooooo early.

@Thundercat I know. I don’t know if you remember but you helped diagnose my first grow as being harvested early. It’s in another thread from around July 4th. You specifically said over ripe just doesn’t happen. I can buy bud legally where I live, so the crop isn’t financially important. What’s most important to me is learning to “listen to the plant” and become a decent cultivator. I would rather use buds that I know what was done to them. I’m a little OCD if no one noticed lol. Thanks again! Great bunch of people here.

Humans been cultivating mj long enough for it to be natural and at a certain point there became more human cultivated plants that the amount in the wild.

Green plants start to finish is one gold standard of growing :-)

We generally like to consider nature as without human interference, human nature is not typically considered as natural, it's not the nature of the plant it's the experimenting and habits of man that have affected Marijuanas evolution since we began cultivating it.

We domesticated it and grow it the same as outdoors in natures wild garden....

Thats all pretty small and childish though, real point is if you can grow a healthy happy green plant start to finish you still got shit to learn :-)

Excellent to hear. My last few months have been a bit crazy so I don’t remember your last plants, but I’ll definitely remember this conversation . I’m always glad to see new growers really trying to understand the plants. They aren’t magical or anything they are just plants, but like you said about “listening” to them is very true because they tell you everything you need to really know about them once you can get their language .

No I have grown plants start to finish green and it was the best yield and quality I've ever grown, but I'm intrigued by Renfros suggestion to lay off the nitrogen in late flower. Yes of course I still got shit to learn that's why I'm here. Can you give a few tips for accomplishing that feat? Do you just slam the nitrogen to her late in flower? I find that putting sheep shit on top in early flower will keep them green for most of flower, I grow in pure peat mixed with 15% sheep shit then put 2 or 3 inches of sheep shit packed down on top in early flower. Any advice would be appreciated bro.

I really dont think mj is that fussy, many a company just offer the same npk start to finish.

Use to be we loved bloom boosters and high pk but too many just got the same results from basic a + b and they lost a lot of favour.

I just use one bottle start to finish thesedays but soil feeds the majority of the grow so its not like im really adding much except the last half of flower maybe :-)

Next grow I’m aiming for green as long as possible. It makes sense. When you see large scale commercial grows the plants don’t turn yellow as bad.
