Massachusetts Outdoor Grow 2019

Thinking of using a uv black light to hunt eggs and caterpillars at dusk. Any thoughts?
It’s a good idea, def worth the time. I went out a couple night ago with a spotlight to see if anything was going on insect related. I did spot moths but not on the plant directly but flying in the general facinity. It’s crunch time for most of us, between mold and bugs these last few weeks are crucial. Iam actually bringing my plants in tonight for the rest of the grow, because there’s rain a few more days this week and for the foreseeable future.

I still got a couple weeks left. Looks like a bunch of rain next week as well as tomorrow. I’m gonna build a makeshift hoop over my enclosure and put plastic over it the rest of the grow as a precaution. A couple of my plants still need 3+ more weeks

My plants are coming along good, the smaller critical purple kush plants have good sized buds and cloudy trichomes, the larger OG Cheese are taking forever to swell and looking like mid-Oct harvest. Only reason the plants aren't destroyed yet is i take them inside at night and keep them inside during bad weather.

Stumbleweed from Getaway Mountain pretty much ready to go after a hard life on my deck, thinking about chopping her down on Friday. No budrot upon thorough inspection. I cannot reach the top cola to inspect it, but I'm pretty sure it's fine like the rest of the plant. Loose flower structure might make trimming a bitch later on, but I think it's a big reason for her mold resistance. I'm hoping those flowers plump up just a bit in the next few days, but should be good regardless.

Not many amber trichomes on her, but yes, most people would probably pulled her by now. I'm really aiming for a heavy nighttime smoke.

I see enough said you have the close up off 30x 60x not me. I just saw the state of the leaves and know that is a tell tale sigh of your plant Cannibalizing it self is all just wanted to give you a heads up but if you want more CBN i understand just watch out they throw Dickey Do's in that stage of growth .

Need advice! Been high humidity in vt. Found a tiny bit of rot in 2 places. Cut those spots out, defoliated as much as i could. Just went out to check her and found powdery mildew on 3 small leaves. Was not there earlier. Tomorrow calls for rain again. What do you think.. should i cut her in the early am or try my luck at waiting another week or 2? looks like rain might be on the way this weekend too.. thanks for the advice! 20190925_182824.jpg 20190925_182817.jpg 20190925_182746.jpg 20190925_182556.jpg 20190925_182739.jpg 20190925_182658.jpg

maybe take the tops and fight on?

That plant looks really healthy for this stage .. imagine what it could look like with another couple weeks.. such a hard choice ... I guess it all comes down to whether or not you have faith in the plant to pull through ... if it were me I'd probably go defcon 4, set up a tarp, fan,use a leaf blower and pitch a tent next to it.... check it every 20 minutes .. if i felt things were getting out of hand i'd be ready to chop it with one swipe and hang it in the garage

In southern MA our 10 day outlook is dreamy.. if you asked me in April what I hoped this weeks forecast would be .... here it is

Best fall in years around here for outdoor.

Thanks for the advice guys! The leafblower is an awesome idea.. wish i thought of that a cpl days ago when it really poured. Trying to shake them off wasnt doing anything, i have 4 pretty close together and my indica is so leafy.. I would love to hold out and see her in her full glory.. she's just so dense its easy for dew or rain to slip in and start rot.. damn meteorologists.. what is this 60% chance crap? I need clarity!! its a part time job taking care of these girls.. they look so good though. I was doing an every other day foliar spray with some epsom salt and a bit of molasses and they LOVED it.. i think im going to try to hold out and cover her for tomorrows rain.. keeping my fingers crossed!

I would go buy some plastic tarp from walmart's paint section unless you already have a real tarp of course but those can be to heavy as well could fall with heavy rain and a thrown together setup and do more damage then good make a cover for your girls just make sure it's easily removable because it will trap any moisture when it gets hot later . Leaf blower after rain and before work is a great idea to help with morning dew which we all know can be a Killer ! Hope everyone is making out well !

We do deserve it. Today is only the second time I’ve put the plants in the screened porch. If it gets really wet, the family room. My third year growing outdoors. I found out about bud rot during my first year. The biggest bud on my best plant broke in half one day. Grey mush, yuck!
