Can you use traditional bloom nutes in coco ? Or have to be coco specific?

Quick question I’ve searched but maybe I’m asking the question in the wrong way..

I’m in coco coir with perlite ... I have a ton of regular bloom nutrients and when I say regular I mean the nutrients that are specified for coco .. I was wondering cuz I’m a little strap for cash at the moment can I use the bloom nutrients that are “coco specified” until I buy the coco bloom nutrients?

Running sensi coco grow a+b but I have to switch to flower within the next week but don’t have the sensi coco bloom but I have a shit ton of advanced connoisseur bloom left over from a hydro run. Can I use that and supplement with a bunch of cal/mag?

When I use the nutrient calculator it gives the same exact numbers for amounts to mix but no breakdown of the nutrients Wonder if I can just give high cal/mag and see if it works ...

i believe that coco formula has more cal and mg and less k.

Should have said add calmag if using ro water not sure about tap

I use tap water but my tap water in my city is really good at 66 ppm only thing that sucks is it’s very acidic from 8-8.5ph

You mean alkaline probably all calcium then. I would add less calmag and use epsom salt if they show mag deficiency

Yea lmao sorry still getting the terms down ... ok so I’m in Day 4 of 12/12 basically I’ve been using half strength dosage of cal/mag with half strength base nutrients... I do t see any signs of cal/mag issues but my leaves are turning more lime green I guess ... but I’m assuming it’s from the switch to bloom nutes since nitrogen is not given as much

Oh damn really so I already made my batch of nutes for today since lights are about to come one and I feed an hour after lights out.. would it be a stress to the plant if I went back to veg nutes until week 3?

Yeah ive run soil nutes in coco and I know folks that just run tomato food.

I use coco nutes almost always, the guy in the hydro store just gave me the wrong bottles and then shut down so used them.

Supplement with calmag if needed. I didn't need to but my coco is well used.

Nah it's fine you can use whatever nutes this feed and then switch back..The plants take a week or two to fully switch to flower so thats why you want to keep using veg nutes for the n.

You can use them. In fact you don't need any so called coco specific nutrient to grow in coco. You just need a balanced nutrient. I've been growing in coco for years and have never used a coco specific nutrient. Heck I've never used calmag. Calcium nitrate for the nitrogen source takes care of all the calcium needs and any decent micronutrient blend has adequate amounts of mag. Add some MKP at flower and you're done.
