Walmart stops selling ammo

Walmart stores will no longer sell handgun ammunition or the short-barrel rifle ammunition used for hunting rifles as well as military-style weapons. Handguns will no longer be sold in Alaska, the last state to have them on offer, but will continue to carry other firearms and hunting accessories.

Also, while there are currently no restrictions on shoppers who conceal their firearms, the retailer is “respectfully” requesting that gun owners not open-carry in its stores, regardless of a state’s open-carry legislation.

Wow, who would have thought that Walmart would have the balls to do this.

I might actually go buy something there now :)

maybe it's because people went in and told the manager that they were boycotting until they stopped selling and to pass the message on to corporate..why didn't i think of it or this thread for that matter?:wall:

Walmart not selling ammo is an opportunity for others. Think of how pot prohibition caused pot prices to be so high. Then think of how many people used pot anyway, despite it being illegal.

The same will happen with guns and ammo... a lucrative black market will develop.

No way! You mean this will have no real affect other than appeasing the loons. I was hoping they were also going to quit selling hammers and knives so I could leave moms basement.

Yes, it's ironic.
Walmart needs guns to be used to keep people paying taxes in order to pay for the infrastructure that Walmart benefits from to gain economies of scale.

Ahh fuck it, tell me about your mom's basement ? Actually tell me about your mom...

Way more creative post than UncleSmucks, which at this point anyone on the forum could write.

Your error is in your assumption. You assume because I don't endorse there being legislation on something, that somehow I endorse that something as a personal preference or activity.

Oh my, Still winning!
No, it’s because you say it’s ok to rape kids
