Well, as soon as the lights came on I had everything ready for chopping. I double checked with the loupe, but here's the top.

Since my first impression overall wasn't "she's ready" I'm waiting. I am gonna get in there and snip either one cola, or a bunch of fan leaves. The one on the far left is showing some actual girth, so if any in the middle are like that they are probably jammed up against each other.
The pot is still heavy from last watering, so I'll let it dry out then check again. She's drinking a lot less than the hulk.

Last but not least, I am down to one Black Widow. The top leaves weren't growing, and closer inspection showed that the cotyledon were already shriveled. I gave a gentle tug and she came right out with one lone taproot, that showed no growth on it. So now even if all 3 RM fem out, I'll have plenty of room.

Usually on the inside cola, I'll prune all but the top set of fan leaves. It's the ones off that second set of nugs I haven't been able to get to. Now I can.
This is the plant that I broke one of four limbs of the manifold because the stems were so stiff. I can't pull apart the main tops to get in there...

Anyway, this isn't prime yet so waiting on the rest was a good call. I'd say it's about 60-70% milky, but very few amber. Might be good.

They have really leafy tops compared to the skunk.

Since I wanted one out of the middle, I picked the most done. It had no white pistils, and still wasn't quite done. Good gauge for the rest of the plant.

Here's the after, and I'll be damned if there aren't little curls of new pistils popping.

But most do - and you can see what I mean about leafy. lots of little one-blades (or whatever those little pointy-bits are), but no new fans like for real stacking. Who knows.

Got the Dead Bud spray. Since I was 'un-dark'ing them anyway to dose them up I got a flash pic.
The SOG just isn't as 'fruitful'. You can see the sugar spreading out in the Banner flowers, but not much on her.

The NL I sentenced to death ain't dead yet! Definitely not thriving like her sisters, but considering recent weather (high heat) she still looks healthy in every respect - except where bugs ate the old leaves...
LOL I have no clue what kind of bug that is. Looks like a ginormous mosquito.
I have been hitting that area with the garden hose when I water my tomatoes, so not completely neglected.

I think I am just done with the SOG. I's not plumping, has a few more ambers (maybe 5% - maybe), but it's just taking up space. With that cola from last night weighing in at a whopping 13g, it means less than an 8th from that limb. The fattest one may push a quarter-bag dry. Both her and the Hulk planted and flipped the same day. So bid her farewell, rearrangements to follow

I'll get weights and stuff later. This stuff is weird. It's almost brittle it's so stiff. Didn't need scissors for the most part, the fan leaves just pulled off with a sharp tug. I started digging in with the scissors to get one of those fat fuzzy leaf stems at the top and the top part of the nug broke off - and I am gentle.

So from left to right I got 3 fat main cola, 2 medium size that match the one I took last night, and the lower stuff from under the mains. 2, 3 and 4 stems.

I am going to trim up the tops by hand, but everything else is going in the bowl trimmer. So I washed it as is, and will trim it when it dries out. Weights after.

One benefit of the bowl trimmer is that since I do dry sift instead of bubble-hash, the chopped up bits dry quicker - and you get a good bit of keif just brushing out the bowl.

274 total wet, counting the wet weight from the other one. So about 54g dried, or just under 2oz.

The tops ended up being about the size of a golf ball wet, under all those leaves. Iceberg stuff. Couldn't see that much under the tops when it was growing.

For comparison purposes, a standard playing card - plastic ones! RAW loader cards in a 52-ack (plus jokers LOL)

Anyway, it's a 12"x12" dry sift screen so you can see there wasn't much trim from the one small plant. I had it in the dehydrator overnight, no heat, just air. and this is what was left.

I rub it across lightly, crushing the big pieces up etc. but not using it like a cheese-grater or it will scrub off lots of veg material. I'll occasionally brush all the big pieces away and see if the fine stuff is more white than green, then either keep messing with it or call it good. After I get most of it the remains go in the freezer and I'll wash the rest off with Everclear (along with my saved up bud-stems).

Imagine my surprise when I lift the screen. That layer is before I brushed off the bottom of the screen.


One little plant about a foot tall, 4.5g of kief from the trim.

The SOG will definitely be labeled as a 'hash' plant. I can only imagine one grown well with no gnats and crap. Decarbing now for budder

@J.James - the plants look great. At what point would you look at transplanting? The roots are just peeking out of the bottom holes, but just a tip or two.

Been 3 days since the bottom feed and they are drinking now. Still a little moist, so tomorrow was going to be either anther bottom feed or a transplant. Advice?

I grow veggies the same as I grow weed - I like variety, and I like to learn from it.
First year in the house where I was able to grow a garden (last spring was moving in) so I picked a few probable spots in the yard for a future permanent set-up. You always learn things you didn't plan on - like don't plant too many cherry tomatoes. My peppers are finally taking off, (Anaheim and 'sunlight bell) but I get this many random tomatoes every morning, with a decent slicing tomato only every week or so...

Looking at how fat the stems are on the Skywalker, it's probably gonna be closer to one ounce than two. Maybe right in the middle, but what is there is dense. these are the 3 tops, and the stuff with no stems is on trays and an assortment of these size nugs and tops.

Transplant day for the Royal Mystery into 3 gallon pots. I did the weight thing again with the soil, and I like it. Each pot held 6.5lbs of dry soil, so it got 10oz (10%) water mixed into the soil for each. Soil was moist enough, but not too much. Didn't even water them in.

@J.James I have the first anomaly between the 3. You can see in the background that the other two have next to nothing for sprouts, but this one is lush with undergrowth. Am I looking at a female in the foreground and likely 2 males in the back?
