I would get as many of the cheapest 600w HID's you can afford and light that room up. Go cheap like Vivosun or something. Get some grows under your belt, learn what you are doing, THEN get your wallet out for LED. Good thing is the prices keep coming down as time goes on.
Cheapest?

Seems that that's how you roll considering the totally useless and badly designed website you're noting in your sig.

I would have got a big fail if that's what I handed in as my project when I got my webmaster diploma back in '94.

You should maybe take it off your sig until it's actually functional and you have something to advertise.

Just sayin'. pass.gif

I hope you have some gear already because $200 ain't gonna cut it if you want decent results.

I was just offering advice to someone that had $200 and wants to grow with it.
Thanks for your review of the site!

As they are rated for 20,000 hours that pretty much says they are done after five flower runs.

12hrs/day x 63days = 3969hrs.

20,000hrs/3969hrs = 5 flower runs.

Arguments may be made that the light output degrades so badly after half the hours that the bulb needs replacement but I say BS.

When you're not growing tons of pot as a business the losses you may have from using older bulbs is not worth worrying about. My Chevy gets me from point A to B just as fast as a Cadillac but not as comfortably. ;)

A quality bulb like Hortilux pays off in longevity and superior light output and the EYE True Blue works like a CMH bulb and does all phases of growth well.

You do get what you pay for so research the best bulbs for your grow then hunt down the best prices.

12 x 63 = 3969?

Maybe I'm looking at this differently since there are only 8760 hours in an entire year

lol if you handed in a site that had that type of functionality in the early 90's people would have freaked.

I totally screwed the pooch on that one. lol

Started with too much vodka then a few hits of Critical Mass then getting all giggity with the calculator.

Was 12hrs/day x 30days/mth x 63 days average flowertime which equals 22,680 which I knew instinctively was way off base then with magic fingers on the keyboard made more puppies. That's what I get for dragging out my old scientific calculator with 256 functions when I only needed 2 or 3. Should have used the slide rule or even the abacus for less confusion. lol

So 12hrs/day x 63 days is a lousy 756 hours so a decent bulb ought to last the rest of my life at least!

Thanks for getting me back on track eh!

So really the CMH is probably good for 30ish months or 15 harvests
I didnt say that. Have used my HPS x5 times before changing it. Last yr i did that with x2 bulbs & they lasted the year just about.
I've no experience with CMH although i did almost buy a @SunPlix CMH from here. Wish i did now cuz the CHPS was an impulse buy & is nit nearly the light i feel 8 could've got from a x2, 315's. Also, is sooooo much IR its basically a heat lamp. Haha! W/ the Ballast attached to Boot.
Been using Hortrilux DaylightBlues MH as the CMH alternative.

I know. I said it based off my 4months to replace the HPS and 18months to replace the CMH. Since the CMH only loses 15% output at 20,000 hours you could run it for at least 30months with no noticeable loss. I just replaced mine and now I'm wishing I would've bought the Eye Hortilux instead of the Philips. They use a different glass that allows the UV lights through. I love the Hortilux daylight blue. I have been thinking of adding a 2nd flower tent to my setup an running a full cycle under the 1000watt MH
