Definitely tomatoes.
I'd consider trying another source as well. My local hydo store doesn't ask. The other customers I've spoken to at the store also don't ask. It's like an unwritten code that everyone assumes we're all after the same crop.

I've never been asked during the only 2 times I ever went into a hydro store. When I did go, I knew what I wanted, no shopping. Ymmv

Tomatoes is a dead giveaway but its probably the closest. If you need to worry about it I would find another garden store, order online or enlist the help of an old lady .

Or, study up online, books etc, so when you go in gardening stores, you don’t need their help and when you read the back of a fertilizer bag or soil ingredients, you know exactly what you’re looking at and what you need.

Most people in garden or hydro shops don't know anything anyway. They're just there for a job. Some of the worst advice I've seen given came from people working at a hydro store.

Lol. Trip on this. I went into a dispensary with my wife and I asked if they had organic grown bud, and she kept saying all of our flowers are tested for chemical, and pesticides. I tried to break it down for her but she didn’t have clue of what I was talking about. It told my wife not go there any more.

Guess you don’t really need to know much about flowers to be a budtender.

Depends on the store..

Out here, I ask them their name and then tell them that my garden is heat stressed. For some reason, mention heat stress and the clerks want to help me save money, information, ect.

I feel this so hard when buying my soil. They've never asked me, but I'm sure they know. Legal state though so I don't worry too much. Nutes and shit I order online. I debated directly saying cannabis if asked, I like the dank herbs line.

They always know you're growing weed. I think they just like to see what story you come up with and then laugh about it after you leave. They know I'm growing since I've been a customer over 12 years.

I was filling out a doctors personal info sheet a few days ago and asked the assistant what do I put down "do I use drugs" yes or no and I asked her now that weed is legal I can just say no? She said yes. I consider that another turning point.
