Biden vs Trump

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to find out that was his plan but it was foiled by his doctors.
That would of gone down in history as one of the most Heroic things John McCain did.
All good fantasies.

But you know they are missing the point don't you? This isn't something that is there because Trimp is. Goodness knows the man himself can't inspire people in the way that has happened. this is much bigger and not remotely limited to America. For fuck's sake, yesterday the Australian people re-elected their version of Trimp. Not long ago Brazil elected one of the most odious leaders imaginable. There is a wave of fascism sweeping the globe.

My point is, doing away with one asshole isn't going to do anything. The world is full of assholes (from both the right and left) and if people want them elected, there will always be another to take that spot.

We're only going to beat this by keeping our head and voting them out; one by one.

The big question is, do you throw a socialist into the election as your best chance or do you seek moderate goals and a moderate candidate? The election in Australia suggests that the latter would have been a better choice.

My own opinion is that throwing a candidate in against Trimp that is too left is going to be exactly what Trimp's minions want is to do and will increase their chances of winning substantially. Every sign says that the majority of the electorate does not support it regardless of the rantings of certain very deluded and entirely inconsequential people.

But it doesn't really matter. There will be primaries and from this process there will be a pair of candidates. Whoever the Democratic party chooses, I will support them with all my heart and devote every hour I can spare to see that they are elected - no matter who they are and regardless of whether I supported them in the primaries. I will not vote for, nor support a third party candidate under any reasonable circumstances. This shit is real.

If we use an average of 60%, 12,000 lbs would come down to 7,200 lbs. Taking a quarter-pound, 4 oz. as a serving, the elephant would provide 28,800 servings. Eating three portions per day, that's 9,600 days or 26 years and 4 months worth of meals.

4 oz.? Is that a portion size for a 8 year old?

When Trump was elected and the aftermath started revealing what we are facing I stated it would take a straight piece of male white bread to stand a chance. I’m not a liberal and I’m not afraid to say. Boy did I hear about it. What about Kamala? Had I ever heard her?

Yes. I’ve heard her and AOC and Liz Warren and everyone else. Brains and talent by the truckload and nary a chance to ever show it. We’re dealing with people and people are fucking stuuuuuuupid. Given the opportunity they prove it regularly.

The DNC sure helped there. Trump on the right and on the left a classic tale of dirty Democrat politics. The declarations that “I’ll vote for whoever has “D” behind their name” is you giving carte blanche for the bastards to do it again.

As to your last point, I don't believe it does. This election won't be won by getting the votes of people like me. I understand Trimp and the danger that the Republicans are to democracy in this country. This election is going to be about people who don't.

I agree, the DNC did help a lot. They suffered from hubris. They didn't see a way to lose this one. I was in the trenches in Ohio and I saw it, not that I understood it or the extent to which it penetrated. Hillary was a bad idea that went back to 2008. She stunted a lot of growth in the party and was the perfect party hack that had little appeal to the electorate. She looked great on paper but ran the worst campaign I have ever been on. I don't think we are in great danger of repeating those mistakes. Every campaign ever run would look similar if we had access to every piece of communication it generated and a well funded organized campaign of thought guides to put it in the worst possible light.

I am no pollyanna when it comes to politics and elections. I know how they work. Nothing about 2016's Democratic primary is remarkable. it is all as old as time. Not that I condone it, but pretending like some sacred democratic principle has been violated is the height of naivety.

None of it was a surprise to me except for the fact it was so out in the open. Sanders totally blacked out by the media at the same time his rallies were filling venues. Totally. Blacked. Out.

Trump was a better show.

The media isn't about networks preforming a public service and it never will be again... ever.

The media needs to profit now and Trump was a better show. I can't sit through a Sanders speech for five minutes.

Sanders? Media black out?

You are fucking high.
In 2016? You’re fucking nuts. You’re nuts. Post some clips from ABC, NBC, Fox. Any of them from the 2016 campaign. News stories. Not Facebook shit.

You’re nuts and people liking your comment are nuts.

Do you actually grow cannabis? Do you even smoke it? You’re a fucking troll.
I once grew. I don't smoke anymore.
If it was legal to grow I would do it again.

Now how in the fuck do you come to the belief that the media ignored Bernie Sanders?

How are you any different from a delusional Ron Paul supporter?

How did I come to this conclusion? I was awake, pinhead. Where’s the links to stories on mainstream media I asked you to post to prove your point? Stop bumping your gums and get busy. Should be easy according to you.

Here’s my offering.

https://www.commondreams.org/views/2016/12/03/how-media-iced-out-bernie-sanders-helped-donald-trump-win

“The networks have engaged in endless “mea culpas” in the election’s aftermath, contrite about their reliance on faulty polls. Rarely do you hear a news personality on television admitting that they failed miserably in covering the Sanders campaign. The U.S. media effectively iced out a major-party candidate who consistently held the largest rallies, even without a media megaphone.”
