I'm running the coolltube form the rooms airmass but because ive got an air temp input of 15celcius i should be able to maintain a constant temp of 25 celcius but im gona post some pics as soon as ive got it setup...............

Hi everyone, i also have another problem which is the roots are coming out of the net pots and are directly in the light, they are not that long yet but i need to sort it out soon, i am buying some solid pots tomorrow and i will transfer them but will they be ok for the next 24hours or is it gonna cause stress which will eventually hermie my fem seeds??? Ay advice on root lighting would be nice.........

Good morning ldnsharkkid, your babies are looking fine this morning.

are you running your cooltube to the air inside the room, or like it's made to run, from outside the room, through the tube and back out?

I'm thinking you would be much better off with two separate systems, one for lamp cooling and one for ventilation. A little more work and expense at the outset, but far fewer problems, a more consistent temp and easier to maintain and to find problems.

All that ducting and splitters sounds hard to deal with compared to two complete systems.

Ok ill quickly post some pics then give an update on what ive been up to today..........

Ok, so heres what i done today....and what i plan on doing every weekend until harvest.....

I took all the pots out the flood table and gave the flood table a good wash with some tap water, and then i let it dry before replacing it and all the plants.

I also emptied the res, gave that a good wash and i also let my pump run for about 10 mins in tap water just to give it a little clean...never heard anyone say they do this but i thought it could only be good with all the nutes going through it...but maybe im wrong.

I then filled up about 90-100 litres of tapwater,which had a ph of 8.2 and added 150ml each of canna aqua vega parts A + B, which brought down the ph to bang on 7. I only added 100ml when i mixed the res last week but i put about an extra 10 litres this week and i thought the plants might want some more nutes. The ec was 1.6 and it was about 1260ppm so i'm hoping this should be ok, any signs of nute burn im gonna flush with ph water straight away, so ill be keepig an eye out...also after adding the nutes i had to add about 13ml of ph down to get it to bang on ph5.8...

As for the plants, as i said the other day the cooltube reflector flicked off as you can see in the pics its not bolted on its some flimsy bendy metal supposed to stay on, but for whateva reason it didnt, and as a result it bent 1 of my fan leaves in half and also broke a small new growth fan leaf, however this is still conected to the plant....question for anyone....

SHOULD I REMOVE THE BROKEN LEAF FROM THE STEM, AND ALSO I HAVE SOME VERY LIGHT GREEN LEAVES WHICH LOOK WILTED AND HAVENT GROWN IN ABOUT 10 DAYS, ARE THEY DEAD, AND SHOULD I CUT THEM OFF....I WANTED TO BUT IM A BIT ANXIOUS ABOUT CUTTING MY PLANTS SO YOUNG....

Anyway, the other plants are doing great no sign of nute burn, loads of new growth everyday, loads of internodal growth, and on 1 of the plants the internode length is very very small, and its my shortest plant, but it has the same growth as the rest, i quite like it, when i can get a close enough pic of the stem i will post it....

So my grow summary at the moment and so far....

Plants are about 21 days from seed, moving along nicely i think, any opinions are always welcome...

Feeding them a 1.6ec 1250ppm nute solution of canna aqua vega, flooding 4 times a day at the mo, once at lights on then every 4 hours with the last flood being 2 hours before lights off....is this all good?? Opinions welcome....

Water constantly at ph 5.8...is this ok?? I noticed it jumped to ph 6.2 after a couple of days last week, so i adjusted again to 5.8 and it stayed stable until the res change today.....i will check everyday until next res change and adjust as neccessary......

Lights still on 18/6...ventilation kinda sorted..maintaining constant 26c, and with the new intake/extract setup with primair controller hopefully being all setup tomorrow, i should get it down so its 25c all the time,all good....

Apart from that not too much to update, apart from when i sniff the plant i get a faint skunk smell which is lovely lol anyways im out for a bit any comments are always welcome and opinions respected, thanks all

I got it from a well known auction site (fleabay) for about £150 it had oly been used once and was very clean. I still gave it a good bleaching before using it but its all good...i think they are about £240 brand new, but from reading the posts it'd probably be easier to make one, and also much cheaper. However if ur a lazy ass like me its easier to buy it. The istructions said it was 2x1x2 (LxWxH) but its more like 2.4x1.2x2, which means i could fit 2 flood tables in there, although i only have 1 at the moment........

NUTES are WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY to high and get a lid for your table so you can drop those net pots in it, you don't want solid pots for hydro...... Come on now........ simple fix, get a lid and drop your nutes to about a 1/4 or at best 1/3 of what you are at.... I am in 3 weeks of bloom with 4 foot plants and only up to 900 on the tds, you are going to fry your plants

You sure lost? I was looking at al's perpetual harvest thread and he is vegging his mums at 1800ppm, or something like that, and also in the GHS video they are using a 1.9-2.0ec and they say the plant loves the feeding, i will be looking out though for any nute bur and if i see any im gonna flush straight away, but fingers crossed, and cheers for the comment.....

wow, that's crazy..... I just fed one of my mothers the other day with about 660 and she burned... what kind of nutes are you using again....... I use AN sensi grow for base vedge and Connoisseur for base bloom, then additives are sensizyme, enggy's fulvic and humic acid, B-52, and Barricade..... And Blackstrap Molasses for my water only feeds..... But then again, I am in a different kind of medium..... Also, don't try and use molasses in hydro. Heard it doesn't work too well..... Now I am very interested to see how your plants do with that much food.... I am really suprised you have not been flooded with post's telling you that your feeding way too much

Good morning lost....I am using Canna nutes, which is a 2-part mix containing all the nutes i need right now in my veg stage...N-P-K is 6-3-8, but they had 3 feedings now and not burned so hopeully all good but obviously im still checking. Personally im not a big fan of all these different additives because 1 im lazy and 2 im a pretty scientific person and by using hydro im controlling exactly what chemicals im feeding my plant, and if i see a deficiency i can react and adjust as neccessary, which fast effects, whereas if i use soil it limits what i can do. This is my 1st grow apart from a 10 day attempt about a year ago, so im still learning, but i understand the basic principles of what im actually doing when i add nutes, and i am a big fan of Al. B Fuct kiss-assand he's got it together and running nicely,so i just follow pretty much what he does with feeding, and also just reading his threads and understanding it gives you a wealth of info that maybe u didnt need to know, but was worth knowing........anyways, ill post some pics tomorrow and see if theres any major difference or burn, and thanks for the comments

I'll take some pics today................... But spot on with a 1260 nute reading for little plants like that, that's just insanity... You go look around or ask around and 9 out of 10 people will tell you that is nuts feeding little babies that much......... but if it's not
broke, don't fix it...... And just so you guys know, I am not talking out of my ass. I opened Humboldt Hydroponics and ran it for two years... I am more than school'd in the hydro area of growing... That is why I would never do flood and definitely not be using solid pots..... But on the other hand, life is a journey, not a destination...... So keep up the good work.... And Shark, I understand your control issues, I will be going back to mist after this flowering.... I am in 3 gallon buckets right now with a mix of 1 gallon Hydroton, 3/4 gallon perlite, 1 cup earthworm castings and 1 gallon ocean forest.... I did this grow because Earl thinks you can't use Hydro nutes in soil, so I coppied his nute challenge set up and decided to see if I could prove him wrong... You think Al B. is the man.... I think Earl and FDD2BLK are the men........ I'm learning everyday still......... Everything I say is just my opinion, so please don't anyone get offended

I am really new to hydro and my opinion is just a copy.

Hi, this info may be a bit late but it might still help. i was informed by the retailer where i brought my cool tubes from that they need cool air to be blown through them not sucked out. i have the same set up as yourself.

Thanks for the comments KPW, i woulda kept it down but after reading Al chucks his clones in straight to 1400ppm and vegges his moms at 1800 i thought this would be ok, they didnt have any sign of stress when i had the lower ppm so i thought id up it, maybe a bit of trial and error lol...

Lost i am in no way offended by anything you have said and i wasnt tryin to imply you didnt know bout hydro but i just been following what Al has been doing with his and so far its been all good, but i like to have opinions on my grow and if all of a sudden they get burned ill know its the ppm and just talking about it on here is making me watch out for a whole lotta things, so its never offensive at worst its constructive criticism, but keep commenting and thanks again bro....

Coming crippled im tryin to do every couple of days instead of everyday so that i can compare difference on a bit of a more noticeable scale, but again thanks for the comments......

Anyways quick update, think its bout Day 22, been constant 26celcius all day and they been fed 4 times as usual, next one in about 20 mins 2 hours before lights off..but:

1. Does anyone have any opinion on how long i should veg these for?

2. Does anyoe have any general suggestions about my grow?
