It snowed lightly all night in northern Colorado. No accumulation because the ground is too warm. Today's 'high' is expected to be 41.

Sister woke to a dusting in Highlands Ranch. {thanks to the current events, I can now remember which of the Denver 'burbs my niece lives in}

Jesus... I lived a mile away from Columbine High School on the same street when that went down.

America's ability to recognize a problem and implement timely solutions is really impressive, isn't it? :wall:

We had a late afternoon shower. Really needing it in the garden, although the water level is still higher than average if my pond is any indicator.

At 1930 it's mostly cloudy, 80F with 76% humidity. Forecast low of 69F tonight, with 10% chance of rain. {although I'm still hearing thunder rumble}

Sister and her daughter were in the air when it was all going down. We were able to find out the kids were OK, and let them know as soon as they landed. They hadn't heard until then.

Rumbling thunder. I can honestly say I haven't heard that since mid July when a dry T storm came through and lit the mountains on fire. I used to enjoy a T storm but these dry storms are summer ruiners.

Lightning is scary in a drought. I bitch about dry weather, but it's been 20 years since we've had a really bad fire year. There was fire at the Daytona speedway the 4th of July weekend 1998, causing the Pepsi 400 to be run at the end of the season that year. We've had small fires since, but nothing on a scale like that one.

If we hold true to the last two years, our rainy season will start in 3-5 weeks, and it will rain almost every day until late September/early October. Most days there will be thunderstorms.

Some sun early, but clouds since. Rained real good at the house {according to the wife, and time lapsed radar} but we only had a passing thunder shower at work. At 1515 it's light rain w/ thunder, 72F with 82% humidity. Forecast low of 68F with 80% chance of rain tonight. {looking at the radar, the rain is just about done with for us. Nothing on my side of the Gulf}

That's the one thing I like about the east, the thunderstorms. I remember visiting New England and the sky was always a bit hazy with humidity and sometimes the storms snuck up on you because the haze just seemed to get denser. In the west, the thunderheads stand out sharply against the dry, blue sky and give you fair warning.

We had a pretty good thunder storm an hour ago, but I've been watching the next wave roll off the Gulf. There is/was a big cell that is yellow with some red on the radar. About 20 miles long and heading my way. Since I've been watching, the top half broke up and made an eddy in the wake of the bottom half. Looks like foam swirling. The nasty part is only half as big, and it's passing south of me. I can hear the thunder though.

At 1320 it's light rain, 68F with 95% humidity. Forecast high low of 69/81F with 90% chance of rain today, and 60% tonight. 10 day high low of 92/56F with today and tomorrow morning being the only chance of rain. Lows in the 50's in May? This seems cold to me. I'd have to look at my average to see. Anyway I'll be packing the Cuddle Duds on Tuesday night.

Cloudy most of the day, but a cool front is pushing through now. At 1950 it's clear, 74F with 58% humidity. Forecast low of 58F with no chance of rain tonight. 10 day high low of 90/55F with one day of possible rain, on the 10th day. Lots of sunshine. So they say. wuderground have missed the rain by a mile the last few days.

Nice and cool this morning, but it didn't last long. At 1630 it's sunny, 89F with 36% humidity. Forecast low of 63F with 10% chance of rain tonight. 10 day high low of 99/63F with no rain days. I'm not ready for the high 90's.
