Sorry not reading all the comments.
My last outdoor grow I had 9 plants all under 4 foot.....started late in the season which meant less vegging and topping and a bit of LST helped keep them short and bushy.

Yeah, dry of course. The buds were literally rock solid. Was pretty mediocre weed but really dense. That was last october and I still have a ton of it left after giving away a bunch and using it. Im about to throw away whats left or give it to the local bums.

just grow em sideways, so pots at least 45 degree angle, you could go 90 degrees on a wooden pallet to keep off ground.
so long as your soil keeps in the pot they'll be fine.

if you stunt the growth by any means the flower process doesn't stop, so you get small stunted plants that flower the same time.

Yep, length of the dark period controls flowering. They will twist in late summer no matter the size, as long as they are sexually mature.
Starting late doesn't really stunt the growth, it just stops veg and goes into flower earlier in the plant's life. My goal is plants between waist and chest high. It's been far harder than I thought. Even planting in June and July I have got six foot plants.

Just top them again after stretching. Do it right when flowers start forming and stretch is windong down.

It's not that big a deal, just an over abundance of caution on my part. I stake them down if they get too scary.
Two summers ago the cops found some of my patches. The plants were not huge, but they were kind of in the open, so that is on me. Since I've been trying to grow in more cover, and starting later in the year.

No trouble, other than losing my Gorille de Raisin seed pot, use of a few patches for a few years and hard feelings with some friends in law enforcement. They chopped three that I know of. A male and female GdR (Grapish X Donkey Kong) and a female bagseed tester. There were two or three other patches I never went back to until after the season. The plants were still there, and I did harvest some seeds. Not sure if they didn't find them, or they left them. They were real young at the time, and in tall brush. They could have easily missed them.
I think an old fucker dropped a dime on me. I got caught crossing the road at daylight in full camo with 5 gallon bucket, also in camo, because of his quiet ass car. He knew me and stopped to talk. I had just burned a joint, and didn't grasp that when he asked about Mrs. Larry, he was asking about my Mamma and not my wife or sister. I was too high to be dealing with him. It was just 2-3 days later when they did the fly over.
I laid low for a while. Cut back on the number and size of my plants. Hope to do some late season ones without drama. But most of my old patches I haven't even been to because of the hurricane. The old trails are unpassable, so not sure where I'm going to grow this year. Plenty of blowdowns to grow in, but trails getting in and out is the issue. And a place to park. No trees or sheds to park under. Lots of shit to figure out before I pop any seeds.

U can plant them in ground and just trim the plant down by topping pruning etc until the plant is the height u want u can also do what I’m doing this year and lst with some string and heart shaped toothpicks if your growing in groundI have a greenhouse that is 4x4x4. I have Lilac, Lavender, and a bunch of other shrubs on the outside of the greenhouse but the window looking in can be seen from the neighbors yard but only can see in a small section where the doorway is directly across from it.
So realistically the space I want to utilize is 2x4x4; give or take.
Is this doable? It’s May, outdoor temps here are in the 70s and 80s. I have a fan I will be putting out there. I have some Christiania Kush clones, some Cherry Kush clones, and some Jack Herer.
For seeds I have:
Peyote Cookies, strawberry lemonade, Tom Ford pink Kush, Mango haze x NL, and a few others
I would prefer to plant them in the ground as the ground of my greenhouse is actually living soil, but I’ve heard it’s pretty much impossible to stop a plant from getting massive when you plant it in ground. I’ve only grown autos in this greenhouse and I’m pretty much done with autos at this point.
So what strain should I choose, when should I move them outdoors, and what would be the best training for them.
Ideal full height can’t exceed 3.5 feet.
I was thinking planting in ground, manifolding ASAP and using LST to get a good 6”-1’ high canopy that spreads around the tent and then topping to increase node count. Plants start transitioning in Mid August where I am at (I asked a local grower)
I’d like to note that I rent, but I am a legal MMJ grower. And honestly my biggest worry isn’t even my landlord I’m pretty doubtful he’d give a fuck I’m actually more worried about being ripped off from my neighbors lol. If anyone has some pictures of some real short PHOTOPERIODS id like to see

I've also seen folks dig down under the greenhouse a couple three feet. That part of the plant isn't going to have any leaves by the end of the season anyway.
