How to grow a 3/4 foot tall outdoor plant?

Two choices: grow autos or start them mid-June. Either option will net you a couple oz per plant.

I rooted some GG4 clones last year in June that were put outside July 1st. End of September they were 3’ tall and produced between 2-3 oz each.

I LST’d one of my photos but it still grew over 5’ tall and almost as wide.

I have a greenhouse that is 4x4x4. I have Lilac, Lavender, and a bunch of other shrubs on the outside of the greenhouse but the window looking in can be seen from the neighbors yard but only can see in a small section where the doorway is directly across from it.
So realistically the space I want to utilize is 2x4x4; give or take.
Is this doable? It’s May, outdoor temps here are in the 70s and 80s. I have a fan I will be putting out there. I have some Christiania Kush clones, some Cherry Kush clones, and some Jack Herer.
For seeds I have:
Peyote Cookies, strawberry lemonade, Tom Ford pink Kush, Mango haze x NL, and a few others
I would prefer to plant them in the ground as the ground of my greenhouse is actually living soil, but I’ve heard it’s pretty much impossible to stop a plant from getting massive when you plant it in ground. I’ve only grown autos in this greenhouse and I’m pretty much done with autos at this point.
So what strain should I choose, when should I move them outdoors, and what would be the best training for them.
Ideal full height can’t exceed 3.5 feet.

I was thinking planting in ground, manifolding ASAP and using LST to get a good 6”-1’ high canopy that spreads around the tent and then topping to increase node count. Plants start transitioning in Mid August where I am at (I asked a local grower)

I’d like to note that I rent, but I am a legal MMJ grower. And honestly my biggest worry isn’t even my landlord I’m pretty doubtful he’d give a fuck I’m actually more worried about being ripped off from my neighbors lol. If anyone has some pictures of some real short PHOTOPERIODS id like to see :)
I’m doing something similar lol instead of it growing 8ft tall vertically I’m going to lst them so their 8ft horizontally the plant stays pretty low but you have to space them out correctly

I have a shed. That’s where I grow my indoor plants. Anyways, I live in Washington. There are no rules on visibility to the public for medical marijuana homegrows under I-692 or the 2016 updated bill. The only people subject to visibility for homegrows in Washington state is I-502 recreational grows but even those don’t have a visibility listing they just have to be surrounded by an 8 foot fence and have some sort of security to prevent somebody from breaking in.

Regardless, I didn’t ask for his legal advice. That has nothing to do with the question I asked. I have a lawyer for that.
You might want to check your laws again... Washington actually looks like the shittiest place to grow out of all the states! Can only grow four if not registered with your city and you can still be arrested if you are seen growing. Wich means even though there isn't a written law, you will still be arrested for seeing it. So good luck and enjoy the shittiest laws ever for weed. ...I would just move...lmao

probably a bit late to the party on this one, and folks are gonna hate on me for this, but if you want to stop your plants getting taller and you can't find another way just foliar spray them once with paclobutrazol when you want them to stop getting taller. they will stop growing vertically the next day and won't start again. don't get any in the soil if you can avoid it, so lay something down first or your next grow will get stunted.
do your own research on paclobutrazol first to decide if you want to use it, don't listen to what other people say about it because from my observations nobody really knows much about it they just repeat stuff they heard. some people think it will give your kids cancer and some people think you're the devil for using it. don't tell people on RIU you use it if you do, because folks will troll the fuck out of you. do your own research, make your own decision.

EVERY state so far that has legalized has basically copied Colorado. Especially regarding visibility, security and ODOR control. You’re not supposed to be able to see it. You are required to fence it or provide a barrier (why if you can’t see it?) and you are not supposed to be able to smell it outside of your property boundaries.

All of this is concession to opponents of cannabis and trying to address their main concerns. I know for a fact that Washington authorities are arresting people growing without a medical card. In Anchorage Alaska the Codes Enforcement officers stand at the very edge of the parking lot to see if odor is present. If it is you are cited and to court you go. The wind is no excuse as odor is not supposed to escape the grow. In a couple more years odor control will be an industry of its own.

“Try to complain about the lights of a 4 a.m. hay harvest or the smell of a feedlot to the Chelan County government, and you'll be told to move back to Seattle. But complain about the smell of freshly grown pot, and the county commission will shut your neighbor's cannabis farm down.”

Closing them down. Literal fortunes invested down the drain. Once it’s legal it’s still not safe.

Dude, you can grow plants that stay under 3ft tall. I do it. Just grow the plant indoors under 24hrs light for a few weeks, top it and then put it outside in July.

The key is to veg under long hours and put outside after the summer equinox.

I cant believe the way some folks responded to your simple question. Good lord, some cranky folks around here.
Old post but I did that and I’m worried the yield is gonna be messed up now bc the flowering was late…I jw 3ft plant what kinda yield you can get if flowering is induced late in season

Would think with enough training you can keep them short. A 2 ft plant can go almost 4 ft wide so l don't see why not. Indica dominance would help out! This girl is just starting week 5. She's almost 4 ft wide and 28 inches tall. No netting just topping and lst along with Kushman cracking stems and branches. Was around the 20 inch Mark when flipped.

His issue isnt the legality, it's getting ripped off. Even when legal, I always made sure no one could see my plants (or even knew about them)
Nobody is gonna try and rob me people around here know better :) but ty that’s very true !
