Peroxide is also a solution for a gnat infestation. You dilute it and flush the soil, perfectly safe for plants, kills gnat's and larvae.

These got water today, and pruned a few more shoots. The seedlings are still slow as expected, but they are a week from transplant and should be jumping in a day or so.

One of my daughters asked "do you have a pound yet?" and it got me thinking. From my last 2 plants, I have my first homegrown QP all at once.
The GDP is at the top, and if I had left all the buds together, it ends up looking like Thai sticks with balls 53g
The Skunk has it's knobby small-foxtail feel to it. 60g
And this is all clone, so not a seed was spent on this.

The GDP is already amazing, but I'll do a full smoke report on the 11th when it is at full cure.
The Skunk will probably be at the end of the month.

And I divide it up between the smoking stuff (big buds) and the eating stuff (nuggies). If I run out of one before the other they are interchangeable though

An interesting note is that on the GDP, there was more weight in nugs than tops. 31/22
On the skunk it was about 32/28 tops to nugs

EXACTLY! I lolli-popped those 4 skunk so I can concentrate on big buds. After the MC and those 4 I will be up to my ass in Skunk. That's why I dropped some $$ on different seeds. I still have 7 skunk seeds to grow... I'm hoping to get some seeds out of that contest prize pack too.

Here's a better idea of the setup. I just went in to up the lights and they are already at 100%. Just moved them yesterday. But I have the light almost 3' above the plants for now.

My talent in gnat raising... LEGEND. How much do you use? Any risk of killing beneficial stuff?

Just a fly-paper strip, I put it in a rolled up piece of hardware cloth just to keep plants from sticking to it.

I don't remember the ratio, but it was in the 10:1 or 5:1 range, and you treat it like a flush. Just dose up the nutes next feeding. I found an article on it a few years ago.

It's just an extra oxygen molecule. It's like Oxy-clean for plants

This wasn't the same article, and the mix is stronger, but it is for spraying instead of flushing and seems legit.

I pruned all the lower fan leaves. They were crowding the other buds, and as fat as these are getting I need airflow to prevent issues.
There is also a distinct difference in size based on the stem diameter (look at the top two)

The one in the lower right of that pic is a giant. All limbs had all "sprouts with nodes" removed as soon as pistils showed. Since all the fatness is restricted to about 3-5 nugs and the top, I wonder if the excess energy that would have fed lower buds is causing the foxtails. And because it's a clone, it wasn't restricted to the symmetrical growth, and looks to have spread the nugs around the stem. They are all shaped like upside-down ice cream cones

Thought I'd move questions to this thread , don't want to bubble up your mainline thread . Back to bags , what brand you use ? , I've never used them , just curious on how to anchor branches .

Gonna go to 3 gal. next 4 ladies , gonna do 3 gal. instead of the 5 gal plastic pots .

I like them because they dry. I am settling on 3 gallon, and I have tried several brands and see no difference.
These are only 2gal, and if you veg for an extra week or two they will be root-bound by harvest. I punched holes in them and got an eyelet kit at a craft store. You can just poke holes in them too.

Yeah 3 gal it is , afraid 5 gal. and I won't have enough room for 4 ladies in a 4x4 tent , The one has really sprawled out .

Day 16, 7 days from transplant, and the roots seem to have taken hold for the BB and SOG. All week nothing, then the last 24 hours they've both popped another node. And the Northern Lights is itching to be flippin. She got her week 6 feed yesterday and apparently loved it.
