Not worried but the whole mother and all the clones have the same structure. Was gonna top for 2 tops, but I'm gonna get 3. I just wasn't sure how often this happens. Gonna look into polyploids now though, thanks!Could be a polyploid....could just be a bump in the road. I wouldn't fret. Who knows you may have the next best thing going right there. You're good; no worries.
Are mine a trait worth keeping? Would making some S1's or something be worthwhile?Branching trait from the glue in homozygoous form. All of the outcrosses are crazy branchers. Did you see the ptk x gb I just finished up? Those things went nuuuuutss branching.
I think there is a pic, they were throwing double branches per node
I'll give it a go and let you know how that goes in the next couple months.Id say for sure. The fact your clones do it makes me think its heritable.
Id like to see what percent the s1 expresses. Fwiw many have said the ruby red was potent as hell.
Need to rerelease an updated version. Gonna do a line x b line when i get time.
Exactly what I have here! And the same plan as i, 3 into 9 tops - and so on.JD,
I recently germed 11 seeds. All popped and appear normal but one. Had not just 3 fan leaves but had 3 growing shoots from one node. I had decided to try mainlining on these plants so topped it at 3rd node...the manifold is a three way. I just inspected it and subsequent nodes above that are the same.
JD
Was it one of tony greens strains or another? Let me know how that plant turns out for you!
That's a strain ive looked for previously, also called Alaskan thunderf*ck? Unless I'mGot the seeds from Alaska seed cache...they listed then as Matanuska Thunderf*ck.
I broke one of the shoots while training. Snapped at the node. It hung on like that for two days...still green. So finally I tied it up and it healed. These plants amaze me.
Will try and remember to let you know results...but no promises. lol
Cheers,
JD
Well ask me in a couple of months. Notice how deftly I now made it your responsibility.enjoy looking at frosty buds is all haha. I won't hold you to it, don't worry!
Dropping knowledge as always, thanks a lot Tony! I'll let you know how these girls come out for sure. Its called a reciprocal cross. Im using it in a bit different way than the traditional use.
You see the crazy cross loudog made that was a ruby red parent?
Well by using this method of (a x b) x (b x a) some of those different genes link up with their other half on the other plant. So the f2 will have these traits separating and segregating into homozygous pairs.
So plants showing dominant NYCO traits or dominant sfv traits.
Its kind of like shuffling the deck more completely in a way.
From there pick the winners of what i see ruby red being in my mind and stabilize.
Good spot, but I think it's the hard water I have here. Ruined my aero cloner covered in white dust that's a b*tch to get off.I hope those white dots aren't mite bites.
But you're not growing with that water...are you?Good spot, but I think it's the hard water I have here. Ruined my aero cloner covered in white dust that's a b*tch to get off.
Yep! Its better than it was. Used to be 500ppm now it can be as low as 350. Getting RO is too difficult around here. But you're not growing with that water...are you?
And JD or anyone else who has a response...and apologies if this seems like a dumb question.
I learned to clone years...no decades ago and always just cut so I had a nice clean section of stem. But someone pointed out that including a node is a good idea. As a test I stuck a branch with node underwater on a windowsill...and even underwater, the cutting grew branches and not roots from the node.
So that's the question...node or no node in cloning.
I know it's off topic but at least there's a node involved.

I tried a "zero water" filter and was getting 1ppm water from it. You can make shift a big bin or bucket and attach a few of those filters with a thread to the bottom, and you have a cheap RO machine. Could be worth a go.My water is 500 ppm and 8 ph from tap. Blows. Im thinking of making a big charcoal water filter and see if running it through that will help.
