While I’m waiting on my HlG and Chinese quantum boards. I’m wondering why anyone isn’t reselling the Chinese boards here?

Because most of us dont want to buy cheap crap.
...for a bunch of canabis consumers some of y’all sure get testy easily. Bro go bongsmilie:blsmoke:...I’ll translate for you though..so there’s no market for assumed lower quality generic leds.

The companies selling rip off boards are scammers, a sure sign is if they offer free freight. I deal with China everyday but the crap people are buying on here although it is dirt cheap would would be a shit product to resell

If you think selling cheap fakes is a legit, long term business idea, then id suggest you lay off the bongsmilie
I grow weed :weed:why would I sell lights. I seen a couple on eBay some guy in Wyoming sold 30+ of them. It sucks that QB is so new HLG don’t have a lot of distributors or inventory.
I brought both, a kit from China and 28 boards from HLG. I have a lot of space to cover and interested to see the quality difference. If the shit don’t blow up, burn out, or show poor results compared to HLG from a economic standpoint why wouldn’t I pay a third in price. The biggest downside is I do believe in supporting American companies so there is a confliction there. In the time of amazon waiting a week before my product even ships out wears on my patience.

Ill give you a sensible reply now based off my actual experience. I have many samples from the chinese companies, including my own lm301b strip, from before even f series was known of. They are on me every week trying to get me to distribute their gear in the UK along with many other companies.

Id rather sell HLG gear with substantially lower profit margins than the china gear. The extra cash you pay HLG not only goes into a better quality product for the end consumer but it also allows capital for testing and future product development/innovation, tooling to reduce end customer costs, margins for retailers, discounts and giveaways.

I don’t get it
For co2 enrichment of grow area..... lol
HPS users have been using them for years for fire protection in grow areas, so not just for cheap chinee knockoff leds.
The closest I've had to a fire was when an HPS fixture fell on the deck, luckily onto commercial fire blanket material I got from the power station I worked in.
Cobs are more of a fire hazard than boards, a 50 watt cob will burn up a piece of cardboard very quickly cause I've done it :bigjoint:

Closest I ever got to a grow related fire was a shitload of singed arm hair and burnt skin from a close encounter with a 1000 watt hps. Luckily my buds didn't end up tasting like roasted Nano.

Yeah I think that's the biggest chance of fire with LED. That's why I always use chains to hag everything. No chance of fail.
I had a 1000w hps long ago and walked into my groom to see black smoke everywhere and shit a brick.
The issue was the male and female connector were not exact matches as the ballast was a decade or two old but the reflector new, they were loose and arcing which melted all the plastic connectors.
I think the biggest cause of groom fires is just that, loose plug, loose connector. Or overloaded electrics from some twat running a spur off a spur off a socket.. #Dodgy landlords :bigjoint:
Hope your current medical situation gets resolved btw!!

I burnt my back on a 1000 watter years ago ffs lol. Double ouch!
We rented out a flat and filled it with plants n lights and I was watering them when it happened. Middle of summer, room was roasting so i took my top off and was bent over sorting plants out and tried to stand up and bulb came into contact with my skin.
I ran into bathroom, got half a roll of bog roll soaked it and slapped it on the burn.
That took a while to heal with a big scab.
Please don't try this at home.... lol lol

Every grow room should have a self activating fire extinguisher. I make lights to the best of my ability and I am very good at it I still make sure customers have a self activated fire extinguisher. Shit can go wrong it's just how it is, some of the high voltage high current drivers I see people use on here make it really easy for a fire to occur. DIY or not, China made or not, safety should always be first priority.
