Hi all guys!..
First of all i am a coco synthetic nutrition grower..
Well, i have never grown autos before cause of the lower level of thc due to the ruderalis mix but now, i must do a quick run cause i leave my home and move to a new place and i must run 9x bubba kush from humboldt which i found they are the best for me based on the numbers they give..
So i have 2 specific questions(nothing else :bigjoint: ):
1st: In these 70 days(10 weeks) strain..Which weeks are veg, which are transmission and which are flowering weeks?
and the
2nd: Can i TOP ONCE and LST ONCE in this VEG available time? Also can i DEFOLIATE(at day 20 from transmisson as i do on feminized?)

Thank you in advane brothers!
Keep it flowering!

I have only grown autos once so I am not sure if i am the best person to be giving advice but here goes. usually topping is considered a no no for autos. I would say if you have to do it... maybe try fimming since it is less stressful to the plant. Most of the time LST is considered the way to go to train your autos. As far as the veg and bloom goes... I am going to guess that for a 10 week strain you probably don't have more than about 3-4 weeks of veg.

Also I think it you a smart in choosing your strains you will not experience a reduction in overall quality. Good auto genetics have been bred to have the same potency as the standard photoperiod strains... they just have been bred to flower without the change in light cycle. Most people are loving the Miphysto stains along with some of the sweet seed and dynafem strains. not sure if i spelled the breeders right but i am sure you can figure it out.

I will top them day 15 as the fems..i ll bend them at day 25 as fems..And then i ll let it stretch..
Just one more question..About autos how many weeks does the transmission stage last?
Thank you for your answers guys..
Good auto genetics have been bred to have the same potency as the standard photoperiod strains..
Well brother thats doesnt exist..example.. This bubba kush AUTO has 17-21% thc and the feminized version of the same company of the same strain has 21-25%, the ruderalis type generally has lower thc level than the indicas and sativas by the nature..and when its combined with a sativa or with an indica via breeding process, the final produced product has lower thc than his feminized mother..
It has advantages about the time spended from seed to harvest, but it has this disadvantage..
Maybe an AUTO has higher potency than a feminized but only if you compare an AUTO strain with a DIFFERENT feminized strain which its genetics gives lower thc level than the AUTO..
But when u compare an auto and a feminized of THE SAME STRAIN the thc of the AUTO will be definitely lower than the fem..!
Cheers guys!

Absolutely false that autos are lower in THC ..... ruderalis ONLY benefit is the speed of seed to flower. Besides most breeders exaggerate the harvest windows and basic performance. I grow them extensively and cross them / self them to cherry pick the seed runs I want to keep.

Mephisto , Dinafem , Dutch Passion are some of the best offerings as they are constantly refined to produce quality plants. Those that overthink them , fuck them up. Ruderalis can and does throw curves into the mix sometimes ( photo seed like flowering , etc ) but the majority of autos available are light years ahead of previous years.

They all use the same genetics as other regular strains ( mom and dad ) just adding a THIRD WHEEL for the short fast life. If you hang on numbers ( percentages) then you are overthinking autos. It’s the same base strains ......

vs
https://www.humboldtseeds.net/en/bubba-kush-auto/

The fem is OG Kush x Afghan, and the auto is Bubba Pre'98 x Ruderalis...I think they totally arent related with each other right? Even with the same name from the same company..i think they are totally different...What do you bilieve?..
How OG Kush x Afghan can be related with Pre 98??
Also look at the CDB 0.3 the auto vs 0.1 the fem..Maybe the fem has more thc but the cbd has a critical role on the potency when its combined with thc right?..SO..I bilieve the auto will be better about quality!
Whats your opinion..!?

Hey connoisseur! How you been man? I probably shouldnt be commenting as i have never grown autos. But one thing i will point out is that it is a scientific fact that ruderalis is the lowest of the 3 in regards to thc content. I would imagine that through specialised breeding/stabilising the lower thc from the ruderalis could potentially be minimised. But no matter what it still has some ruderalis in it if it auto flowers. Thats my opinion anyway.

Mine is the same..thats why i never grow them..but now i must do it for the reasons i told above..if u sell maybe its better option..but in my situation where i grow only for myself i totally prefer feminized!

I do agree with budzzbuddha where autoflowers are much better than what they used to be. Have seen some big dank autos. But always makes me wonder what if they were feminized? Or a regular female? (Regular female Meant to yield slightly more than feminised. But who knows really lol) ive seen an outdoor gorilla grow using autos. Great for that i think as you arent at the mercy of daylight hours. But must of cost a small fortune in seeds!! Ive never bothered with autos as i predominantly grow indoors and have total control over my environment. If the plant has had an issue i can just veg for another week! As far as i know with autos they flower when mature enough no matter the health of the plant at the time. I imagine if you top the plant then growth will slow very slightly (high stress) resulting in a slightly lower yield as the plant wont grow as big. Where as a photoperiod plant you can just veg for an extra day or two. The other thing i personally dont like about autos is you cant clone them. And the possibility of less thc. (Some strains/breeders more than others) but like everything when growing, it all comes down to the individuals set up and doing the best they can with what they have. So each to their own this is just my opinion on why i dont grow autos bro.

Here's a good guide covering autoflowers. Page 25 talks about the life cycle of an auto and should give you a good idea on when they transition from veg to flower. https://www.mephistogenetics.com/pub/media/wysiwyg/pdfs/Mephisto-Genetics-Basic-Grow Guide-2017 V1.pdf

On the bold, I bought a years worth of seeds from Mephisto during their Black Friday Sale. Most of the strains that I bought were 40-50 percent off. With the freebies they came out to around $3 a seed. Not bad for 3-4 zips of good smoke.

No problem. I love turning people on to autoflowers. Although it might not be as potent as it's photo parents, it's still very good. One of my buddies buys high end hydro photoperiod weed for $400 a zip. He says my autoflowers are just as potent and have much more flavor than what he buys.

That also depends on grower, how healthy their grow was, how much they handled it, how they dried/cured etc. So probably not the best comparison in my opinion but no doubt about it, you can get some very nice autos! Correct me if im wrong but They just seem a bit finicky to me. You have to get everything right or yield can suffer big time as the seed to harvest window is so small you have no room for error...? Im not against autos. I think their great as it opens up more doors for us growers. Gives us more options to tailor for our specific setups.

Haha..i dont turn to AUTO man..I love feminized..The specific situation made me to grow autos..My opinion is somewhere above about the fems and the autos :P
