CMH grow test

Hi Everyone,

I have some different brands of CMH lights, interested to see the which one is the best.
Does anyone know if there is any professional labs or person can do contrast test to give real time grow results?

You are probably that lab. lol. If you wanna pay someone to run those in an actual grow I'd have no idea where to start. If you just wanna pay to get some real world numbers these guys can probably help.
 
haha, im not a pro of grow. Just wondering if some well-know ppl or labs have done CMH lights test between brands. Interested in which brand is good, also i have something new that need ppl to test :D
 
Buy the Philips ballast and 3100 green power lamp and fit it in the vertical reflector for the best results, this should do the trick for a 3ftx3ft area nicely.

ive heard EYE hortilux CMH315 is the best, cuz it has more UV than Philips
 
If CMH has strong PAR output as HPS on red light also good on blue light, can it replaces HPS on flowering stage?
 
From what I read HPS is still king of flower stage. But CMH is likely not far behind. CMH plants won't stretch as much, for some (like me) that is an advantage. I hate stretchy plants.

Hey, thx for the detail.
Since Philips is focusing on its LED, i think other brands CMH will take over its place.
What do you expect more on CMH? PAR? or better spectrum?
 
(CMH)The closest spectrum to natural sunlight, GoB.
Phillips started CMH, on bulbs they don't get beat.
Sun System ballasts are also very good. Phillips and Phantom might be better. Eye Hortilux seems over priced. Ushio CMH bulbs have the most UV.

Have you tried Grower's Choice CMH? Many smaller brands out there, idk if worth to try.

Yes, but to block UV-C, it will vastly reduce UV-B, UV-A transmittance. In the other hand, to increase UV-B and A, it will allow certain amount of UV-C come through the glass. I have some prototype 315 that as same as Philips but can give more UV B and A, also little big UVC.
