can you speed up flushing/length to flush?

so im debating on harvesting as early as wednesday latest probably friday but i've just started flushing yesterday and flushed again today so im worried i didn't have enough time to really flush. is there a way to like speed it up just to ensure i don't get a chemically taste without using a flushing product of course.

if not how long would i need to flush minimum days wise? i plan to flush again tomorrow.

also i was wondering if i watered tomorrow and say i wanted to harvest the next day would that be a bad thing due to the soil being moist? or does it not matter.

Well typically you wanna let the soil dry out between watering but since it's the end it's not like there is enough time to really kill the plant.

apparently im not done yet. lol guess i have at least 1-2 more waterings i can go through so yea hopefully by then i flushed enough.

Honestly I don't flush my plants, I just don't overdo the nitrogen in flower and I taper off my nutrients at the end. but hey, everyone grows differently, I am just saying that you shouldn't be too concerned.

yea i am talking to thundercat in my other thread he is helping me and said the same exact thing so im just going to say fuck it and not flush anymore. probably only has about 2-3 feedings left anyways so not too bad tbh.

My theory is the plant is doing its most important part of growing so unless you had a major salt buildup in the medium you should let her eat a diet that has very little nitrogen. You want that P, K, Magnesium, Calcium... It's the Nitrogen that makes for the bad flavor, dark green, wont burn right...

i'll try this. won't hurt im always trying to get better results. my theory is if i am close if i flush or just water then it will force the plants to use w.e. it has stored if anything but idk XD probably just go 1 more feeding then water.

Chlorophyll, its why tobacco is brown. We make a green product though and it has chlorophyll in so we cant avoid it and to cure like tobacco would kill our trichs :-)

Chlorophyll is green, doesn't matter what plant it is. The other colors you see in leaves is because of the lack of chlorophyll

And I'm pretty sure there are areas of the world that cure cannabis just like tobacco. Big pile they keep turning. Similar to burying it to cure.

No freaking idea what your on about, were talking why weeds harsh, he said nitrogen and i futher suggest its the chlorophyll rather than nitrogen on its own.

Thanks though :-(

You made the statement -

That's what I was referencing. Tobacco is green until it's dead. Some bud goldens as it cures, just like tobacco. It's strain dependant. My LSD stays bright green, even after months of storage, my Jack Herer goes gold after a couple weeks.

Its an analogy to the chlorophyll or we would dry tobacco green. As it happens tobacco ISNT weed and it has chems in the leaves which help it turn brown unlike weed in which the best we can do is facilitate a small amount of chlorophyll and other pigment degredation by allowing it to hang dry at room conditions and this will take a week. We hang dry or NATURAL dry to allow the last biological available water in the plant cells to complete certain chemical reactions but as we cannot destroy the chlorophyll as in tobacco its largely left and hence my reference to a green product not brown.

Over time and with that small amount of moisture held in dried bud there will be a futher slower breakdown and you may witness a more browner situation.

My initial reference is still to why byd can be harsh, too much nitrogrn will overfertilize and then on harvest degredation is not great so you have harsh bud - quick dry your bud and same chlorophyll problem. Shit bud wont do what great bud will basically so not as much breaks down and your left smoking harsher plant material.

Ya you want to degrade all that chlorophyll and emulate tobacco the sun dry or even weirdly frement if ya know how.

Im sure theres so much more interesting stuff to add and a full picture eventually.

So its upto you - expand and add or constantly nit pick :-)
