PH questions

Just wondering... after dropping 160 litres of nute mix by almost a full 2 points with just 10 ml of GH pH down... wtf!!??

...is the potency different between different pH down/up manufacturers?
... does ppm or EC strength of nute solution have an effect on pH adjustments? IE does a higher concetration of say 10 gal nute mix need more pH down than a lighter concentration 10 gal nute mix to make the same adjustment?
... does temp or constant temp fluctuations have an effect on pH?

New to hydro style growing...

i'm pretty sure it does but your res temp shouldn't be varying that much to make much of a difference

Thanks.
I grew in promix before for years and only ever used one nute line and one adjuster line.

For hydro i switched to GH everything and making some discoveries...lol

I'm thinking of purchasing megacrop, with their pro calmag and bud explosion.
i had pH troubles with it. you can search their thread about it.

is this the version 2.0?

if you really want something good to add to your GH, check out bioag cytoplus. kelp/humic/micro dry mix. a 100 g bag is cheap: only 0.5 g/gal to mix.

I do definitely like how well GH stays put..

and some people say GH PH down isn't strong enough. I don't need it any stronger.
Caught me by surprise...
I used grotek before and i would use about 5ml to bring down about 16 litres of tap water (250ppm) a full point. So... didnt think 10mls would do much to 160ltrs of RO water nuted up to 450ppm.

I use advanced nutrients ph up and down. It's WAY stronger than GH (have those also). Takes like 10 percent of the amount I used with GH. I only use it for large tanks, small tanks get the GH.

I used to use soley AN all the time (not all the shit) in promix and it was top notch stuff. I couldnt understand why everybody bitched about price. Then i did the math on that going to flood tables and...
Oh.
I get it now....lol

I'm curious to know how strong the GH pH Down is? I'm using Plagron pH Min and I need only 4-5 drops for 15 liters of water at 7.5 to bring it down to 5.5 - 5.8.

What's in the stuff...
Water, phosphoric acid (56%). NPK-fertilizer (0-43-0). 43% water-soluble phosphorus pentoxide (P2O5).

To be honest I think it's a little too strong and its super easy to screw up without using a medicine dropper one drop at a time.
