Plants do start focusing on flower production and stop producing large leaves. That doesn't mean that the leaves are not playing a vital part in the plants growth. Those leaves are using light, water, carbon dioxide to produce food through photosynthesis. Removing those leaves reduces the plants food production capabilities. If the goal is more food to the buds then removing the leaves would be counter productive.Data!
Perhaps people are coming to this conclusion based on the number of tops a plant has effecting the final said size of those tops. Not that the two can be used to reference one another but I can see the stretch to get there not that it's true or not.
Doesn't cannabis stop growing sun leaves during flowering?
