Great.

I look forward to seeing her at the debates.

I thought the Cult of Sanders didn't like her.

Democratic rising star Kamala Harris has a “Bernieland” problem
By A.P. Joyce | July 31, 2017

“The Democrats will not win until they address income inequality, no matter how they dress up their next candidate,” Konst said. “If that candidate is in bed with Wall Street, you may as well lay a tombstone out for the Democratic Party now. Voters are smart; they can follow the money.”

Konst’s skepticism about Harris’s alleged ties to Wall Street and insufficient commitment to populist economic issues reflect a broader trend among the residents of Bernieland. In a recent New York Times profile of Harris, another high profile Sanders supporter, executive director of National Nurses United RoseAnn DeMoro dismissed Harris’s prospects as a progressive 2020 contender, saying, “She’s not on our radar.”

“She’s one of the people the Democratic party is putting up,” DeMoro told the Times. “In terms of where the progressives live, I don’t think there’s any ‘there’ there.”

For once I agree with you. I won't be sitting or voting for Ms Harris.

Bernie Sanders and Kamala Harris crossed the base. What will it cost them?

Responding to a question about Harris's stance on campaign finance:

On Thursday, Harris was taking audience questions when a man stepped to the mic and zeroed in on her fundraising methods.

"If a corporation or a corporate lobbyist wants to give you money for a campaign," he asked, "will you tell them, 'Thanks, but no thanks'?"

"Well, it depends," Harris replied. "It depends." The questioner, his arms crossed at the waist, declared this the "wrong answer."

"Well, that's not the answer you want to hear," Harris said. "It doesn't make it wrong."

She continued, acknowledging the legitimate concerns, then explaining her philosophy.

"I appreciate the reason that you're asking it. I do appreciate that," Harris said. "And that's why we have rules that require that any donation that anyone receives needs to be disclosed. So that you can do an assessment, and the voters can do an assessment, and look at where the contributions come from and make your decisions about whether those contributions have influenced the way that people act and the way that people vote."

In other words, she's going to follow the law and her principles but not going to reject legal campaign donations outright. I'm beginning to like her as a candidate.

That Harris has a Bernieland problem has no bearing on what I think of Harris.

I look forward to seeing her at the debates. No doubt in my mind that she's better than Bernie, I'm waiting to see the full list of candidates and what they say at the debates before I narrow my choices for who I want to vote for.

She did a lot of good things for California as AG. Her 1st term in Congress wasn't stellar but I have yet to hear of anything bad about her.

She failed to prosecute Steve Mnuchin in CA as attorney general. Now he's Trump's Treasury Secretary

Strike one, you're out. Harris is another establishment Democrat, look at her list of donors

Strike one you're out. Funny that.

She never adequately explained why she didn't prosecute Mnuchin when there was plenty of evidence that his company was culpable.

Still, unlike Sanders, she got stuff done. There are plenty of alternative explanations about why she didn't decide to prosecute. You cynics can jump to the most sinister one if you like.

Sigworthy, in fact. Glad I was not the only one to see it.

I hope he was just trying to be ironic and funny.

using his analogy, after Sanders totally crashed and burned in his speech last year in Jackson Miss when he gratuitously insulted Obama, Sanders supporters said:

Ball 1, take your base Mr Sanders.

So you need three murders to put someone away?

You and logic have become strangers.

Who made you Pads defender?

Regarding Kamala Harris and her so-called dereliction of duty when she didn't prosecute Mnuchin. Sanders supporters are shrieking and clutching their pearls while they jump to the conclusion that Harris has been bought. Harris did not explain why so we really don't know why. There are plenty of reasonable alternatives to explain why but you are a cynic and so, you naturally jumped to the conclusion this proves Harris is corrupt.

A list of legal donors who made legal donations isn't proof of corruption. If you want to change the way candidates raise money for their campaigns then change the law. As Harris said, anybody is free to read that list and draw their own conclusions but she isn't denying campaign donations solely on the basis of it being corporate money.
