8 backup bearings (in 8 sections), 4 drive rolls, 2 idler rolls, bearing caps, 4 lateral rolls and 2 work rolls, spray boards, hanger springs and thrust bearings.

And everyfuckingthing tightens to the left, loosens to the right.

And if you wreck it, you can have it running again in about 7 hrs. Maybe.

Easily if one doesn't pay attention at the beginning and end of passes.

Roll force x lateral position x tension x crown (power crown and drive crown) x speed (generating necessary friction heat).

It's now required reading for the cadets.
