CMH vs LED

Needing the UV or IR is a matter for debate.
QBs been better than CMH is also a matter not yet settled.
I love my QBs and the results are great, my cmh i veg with because its a great light for anything but i dont flower in 3x3 spaces so it wouldnt suit my flower tents. It does cover a 4x4 in veg durin summer though.
CMH is a great spectrum, just not right for my situation.
Like i say for the footprint to cover a 2x4 i prefer the QB due to the shape and the way that distributes light.
I think you would be impressed with either light.

QBs are hella impressive. I may hold out and save the extra $100 for the set up I need. I just don’t want to get carried away when the end game is top knotch Bud.

The XL is $348.99 unassembled for growers lights, really i wouldnt pay someone the extra $25 to assemble it, it takes 5min and a small screwdriver

I’m looking up if it’s be cheaper to buy what I need part by part and put it together. I’m really torn lol. I’m just reading that CmH need more space above the canopy due to heat. Sucks because I just found a Cmh set up for half of my QB set up.

I doubt there would be that much difference in price buying everything separate. Its the little things that add up.

If its that much cheaper for a cmh and you want to try it why not put some of the savings toward a 3x3x7 tent.
How tall is your 2x4?

6’ which is almost maxed out for my space. It’s a closet grow pretty much. I think I’m just going to go with my first choice and buy the QB XL Kit. It’s more efficient, cooler, and since I can slow my fan down since heat isn’t as big of a factor..quieter. Do you supplement with any sort of red light ? I’m still keeping my old blurple as an emergency back up. Maybe using their red light (it’s switchable but not dimmable) for my red light supplement ? I’m still a few months from it mattering anyways.

Does anyone have experience of the quantum boards vs the CMH. I currently have an HLG550. Does anyone know of comparison pic of buds under a CMH vs HLG setup?
