Ideally you want 32 - 50 watts per sq ft.

If you have 4x4 =16sq ft

16x32=512w
16x50=800w

800 is pretty overkill tho.

Use whatever conbination youd like to gwt in that range .

As for mixing if you want to ty it out yah just grab one and a hps to start and see how it goes
This. I've gone as low as 20 watts per square foot in the past and did not like the results. From my experience with my HLG QBs, 35 watts/sq ft seems to be the sweet spot.

LOL I was bashing LED grow light companies. An I just got one, because it was a cheap cob led grow light for $30.00. It wasn't advertised is false wattage claims. An I got 5 years warranty on it! Im going to take back what I said in early post. This is a Chinese cob led, but worth a shot. I got two 50w cobs in a 2x2 tent. My T5s were too hot to control temps. Now it's so much cooler most companies won't do 5 year warranty. So im happy with my lights. Gutted my T5 for the frame

If I were u I would use all the led lights you have with the 400w hps. I would ditch having mother plants and just pull clones before you put them to flower each time.

You can grow your clones under a 150w hps till they are ready to flower which should be time to harvest the previous batch.

When i was in a 4x4 closet i ran two 600w hps and the plants loved it. The more light the better.
