They are calling because they are hopeful to talk to someone. They want their card and medicine. I can understand both sides of this situation, wanting answers, and also not wanting to slow down the process. I know I’m just going to have to wait. I’m not bothering emailing or calling. I’m just coming here because I get more useful information than the state could ever provide.
The only thing I have gotten is my receipt for paying, shouldnt I be able to call and confirm everything was received and is in good order? How about they don't take your money until they have actually approved the card? That's how a real business would work.
If the state wasn’t so damn broke, maybe they could hire someone to configure a system for people to check status online.. or allow someone to answer phones. If people were able to get answers, they wouldn’t be so overwhelmed with calls or emails. I have hope that they will legalize recreational by 2020 and implement it soon after. The crooked politicians see the kind of money they could make, and they want it bad. I just wonder how many more politicians from this state will be in jail , from lining their pockets with some of the money from that kind of program.
The government is not a business! the state didn't pay THEIR own bills for a couple years, how many of us would get away with that? Apples to oranges, this isn't a company set to lose money by bad publicity. I get it, it's bullshit. It's a plant, that anyone should be able to plant on their own property, the government should have zero say on what anyone ingests into their own body, but.. that's not the case. I used mco and they told me that day, 90-110 days and I'd hear nothing from the state, does it not say anything like that for those who apply on their own?
2019. Democrats have a veto proof majority, the governor wants it nearly 1st thing, Madigan wants it. It's going to happen. It probably takes one year to get shops open from having a working medical system. Depending how it goes with the antis we should have recreational working by mid 2020.
Well the state did charge my card instantly when they know they won't do anything for at least 60 days which is not standard business practice, it may even be an illegal business practice in the US. It would've been very easy to have the online account have some kind of recognition and updates. If they had anything like that people would not be calling. Any kind of update on any of the 3 websites would be nice.
It seems to me , that people that used a service like MCO were charged like 300 bucks and had to wait longer than most.. 300 dollars.. that’s insane.. maybe I’m wrong about that total, but that’s what I heard. I also applied on my own, online, so I have hopes that it will be here by next week. I will post a detailed timeline once I get it. Hoping that will help someone else know roughly were they are at in the process.
$300 is for the doctor fee. If you don’t have a doctor that is willing to diagnose, you pay their doctor the $300 to establish a relationship. It’s $150 per appointment. They also don’t send it out right away. They wait a week or two and then send the app off. That’s what’s confusing a lot of people. It’s taking 75-85 days right now so for anyone to assume that they should get it sooner, they’re silly. Through MCO it’s well over 90 days but that’s not because of the state.
Yes 300 is for the Dr fee but back in April when I went there they could still charge for their services in filing papers etc and I think people were paying around 500 something unless you were a veteran or or disability, I wouldn't have my card without them and I'm thankful for that but dispensaries will do the same stuff for free.
It's not just the state that has to prepare, its the growers and dispensaries as well. I already can't get things that sell out quickly, they will run out of everything unless they are prepared for all the opiod patients
just curious : Aug.28th was cut off for background & prints , but I would guess you had already done it . did you submit with / or without that information ?

I knew your timeline was exempt . I was just curious if you had already gone through the trouble to do it. I started on Sept.10th , but had to get the paperwork from my Dr. , it was Oct.4th before I had all ready to submit. paid with C.C. same day and issued a email receipt ,C.C. was charged on the 7th , 3 days later . Hope all goes Fast for you ! seems this waiting game gets in "our heads " a little. November 19th will be my 45 days , December 19th will be 75 days...I too am counting minutes !
I called after my afternoon meetings were done and got put in a hold queue for about 11 minutes and was kicked out to the normal message about high call volumes. I will keep trying as I have time. I just want to confirm that they got it and all is in good order.

I went to the clinic that morning of the 31st of August, that afternoon I upstreamed my application to the state. I am pretty sure my application was approved between Oct 29 -31st. I should receive my card within the next several days. It looks like applicants will receive their card under 82, from their submission date.
