Been wanting to ask. With the bean library some of you growers have, how in the hell do you decide what to run next? How many beans in a 10 pack do you run at once(the whole pack)? Say you run a whole 10 pack and get 5-6 gals. Do you run the all 6 gals on a clone run then make a decision on a keeper? Mind, you ya still have other gals running and other packs you want to try.

I just started this, I dropped 3 packs of beans had 30 seeds total. started them all in solos for a weeks veg and then into 1 gallons for another week and then flipped to flower, now I got 17 females. I've already identified some nice keepers but will finish them all, already took a clone from each one and planning on reveging them while they dry and then taste test to see which will stay. I hope that's a right way to do it.

It does and thanks @nc208. Some of the threads I read tho YT's included, have 5-10 different srains going, chuckin' a lil pollen, going thru 3-4 other bean packs and are not large scale commercial ops. I envy the dedication,time and passion out forth in such efforts. Lol,I soon hope to be doing it on a micro scale .....micro micro scale. Couple tents worth.

Star Pupil x Goji OG #2(Light colored pheno)
"Foxtail Pheno"
Pure berries on the nose. Like a big bowl of mixed fresh berries. It's extremely loud on the smell. You can smell it in the jar with the lid on it. It's like a mixture of fresh berries and either fruit loops or fruity pebbles. And has the same exact taste. All berries on inhale and exhale. Beautiful 50/50 buzz. Over indulging like I did last night. You can feel the goji side of it being a heavy buzz and sinking you into the couch. But it's a good mix of head and body buzz.
Shes def a keeper. 61 dry grams from a 1gal transplanter. And shes never going to be released. No one else has this cross. Other than me and Massmedical strains. Both phenos. The other pheno is ready to chop down yesterday. But didnt get to it. We didnt have any kids. So we did the date thing with the wife. Had a great time. Smoked and went to the movies to see overlord. Great movie by the way.
Edit: I forgot to mention. This pheno is done in 61 days.

Shes frost covered bowl of fresh berries. Very large calyxes. Excellent leaf to calyxe ratio. Yield seems to be even more on this pheno. The other pheno pulled 61 dry grams from a 1gal.

Cookies n Chem (Greenpoint)
"Starfighter/OGKB Pheno"
Very loud raw cookie dough nose. Yield is above average. Solid frost laden nugs, of sweet cookie. Her frost production as you can see is extremely nice. She seems to be finishing a little bit faster under a different light other than my Samsung Gen 3s, shes also starting to fade some dark blacks in this run. She is 100% a keeper. And will be around for awhile.

"Frostless Pheno"
Shes loud burning styrofoam and wet basement still. Yield looks like it will be average/ above average. Shes in a 1 gal. Great side branching. Of big secondary nugs. The pistols are very long. Longer than normal. And every time I look at it. The words Hairy Carey come too kind. So I may change it from frostless pheno to that. Chem 91 "Hairy Carey Pheno" i like it. The "Dill Pickle Pheno" that's in veg I took cuts from, just waiting on it to root. And it's getting flipped. This pheno is very leafy looking. And will probably suck to trim. Thank God, my wife does all the trimming.

Another clone that was ready for a transplant about 5 weeks ago lol. My transplant times are on point. Lol
Forum Delights #7 or 11 I cant remember. She was just flipped. The stretch hasn't even started yet. I did move her from the tent she was in. Under the deep red dominated light to under the Samsung Gen 3s. To hopefully keep stretch to a minimum. Then she will be put back under the modded heavy red light.

I only hit 1 pheno this run. Bc I have so many crosses from this run. I didnt wanna get ahead of myself and get beans mixed up. Bc I hang dry them before I shuck the beans. It seems like I have better germ rates from the beans and they dont take as long to dry. Letting them dry in the buds. And it makes them easier to remove from dry plants. But from the looks of the two branches i dusted. I'd say around 70-80 beans from the Magoo cross.
Edit: yeah I just didnt have the heart to cull it. The smell is really nice n chemy on the bud squeeze. And the calyxes are frosty. Just not really any trich production on any sugar leaves.

Pure sweet raw cookies dough with a slight hint of fruit or floral, dipped in trichs. And yields out the ass. Solid sticky dense lime green nugs. With some purplish black tips and hues throughout when finished. With brighter orangish def pistils. She is extremely loud during flower. And has pretty good stench in veg. She does veg pretty slow. And by herself is 70+ flowering days. But it is so worth the longer wait times. Good things come to those who wait. LoL. She eats like a hog. And swells up fast. Her fans have longer petioles, with stacking blades. She does very well untopped and run natural. And also responds very well to topping. She stretches decent and not overly stretchy. Nice thick side branching. Shes pretty much cookies on steroids. Roots very easy. Every cut ive taken from both clones and the seed mom have rooted in 10 days or under, and every single cut rooted.

She is pure grape hash. Reminds me of freshly made bubble hash from like a strong skunk/ammonia dominated nose plant. And grape kool aid. Above average trich production, yield is average to slightly higher than average. Large calyxes. Has both purple calyxes smd purple trichs. To give it that deep purple frosty bag appeal. Looking forward to smoking this girl.

Even newer ones on side branching. The stretch hasn't started yet. And bud sites aren't developing yet. This thing is gonna make some pointy lookn buds I bet.

Sensimilla harvest. I hang the branches. The seeded branches I dry on a mesh drying rack that zips closed. So beans dont fall out during drying from hanging. It's the little things that make it easier. Each level of th drying rack zips closed and is seperated from the one above it and below it. And has 8 racks. I tape a post it to each layer so I know which is which. And I never do more than one level at a time. I dont even unzip the next level until all seeds have been shucked, bagged and labeled from the one above. So seeds dont crossed/mixed up.
