Tea vs Smoking

Does tea have a different feeling, does it last longer? I'm thinking of making some Green Tea with Pot but just wondering what I should expect if anything.

Making tea won’t do much. I’d make tincture then boil the alcohol off giving you basically oil then mix some of the oil with some green tea.

Also you can as stated make a tincture .... either with alcohol ( ever clear or similar ) or as double boiled in jar with VEGETABLE GLYCERIN ( with is sweet tasting ) and dollop a small amount ( dosage desired ) or use dropper for both under tongue use or adding to drinks.

I can't smoke so I decarb my pot then soak it in grain alcohol overnight to make a tincture. I find the effect comes on quickly and last a long time. I use 10ml of 190proof grain alcohol for every gram of bud and this makes it easy to adjust my dose. I have also tried adding this mixture with an equal amount of PG/VG. and placing it in a glass jar placed in hot water to evaporate the alcohol and give me cannabis infused E-JUICE . extract are an easy and effective way to use cannabis when smoking it is difficult. just be sure to decarb first and be very careful if you decide to boil off the alcohol. always use a hot water bath and an electric burner to do this in order to reduce the risk of fire and do this outdoors away from anything flammable in a well ventilated area decarboxylation-graph-1-11.jpgdecarboxylation-graph-1-11.jpg decarboxylation-graph-1-11.jpg

are you looking for recipes for edibles or just generally asking?

in general edibles take longer to have an effect, last longer, and have a more pronounced body high.

tea is not a good form of edible because THC is not water soluable.

That's why people are recommending alcohol, or more commonly butter/oil/fat all of which can absorb thc.

You need to convert the THC to THCa via decarbing with fat prior to making a tea. If you just made a tea with material you're going to be getting like 5-12% of the total THC in the material as most of it is not THCa.

It’s fairly easy to do ..... food grade vegetable glycerin is available at many stores.
As a matter of fact , you can fill a tank with this VG solution and vape it too.
It is safe and doesn’t have the heavier throat hit as PG in most vape mixes.

I double boil bud in a closed mason jar with VG just covering ground / broken up bud.
Even if a few small stems are in there too. Some decarb it before , but with steady heat and a long boil ( 1-2 hours ) in water bath will be fine too. After a bit boiling , pick up jar ( careful it’s hot ) and swirl contents. After a couple hours .... VG will be infused.

Pour mix thru cheesecloth ... press thru .

Then you can fill dropper bottles ( amazon or pharmacy ) or store in jar for home use.
Dropper bottles allow DECRETE dosing . I have made CBD 1:1 drops this way too for true medicinal use. Put with regular strains , you will get buzzed pretty well. I find it hits you over the head in a steady buildup compared to smoking or vaping it.

Vaping it is smoother than PG ... tastes good as it has a sweetness already built in.
You can add to drinks , syrup , bottled water , coffee , egg nog , food .... all kinds of shit.

I was gonna do the covered in butter approach. Where you mix the bud in with butter, then put it in with tea leaves and let it steep.

that will work, but it might make your tea taste like butter- if your first question was about the effect of edibles, it depends on how much bud you use and how much of the edible you ingest.

@Budzbuddha

I'd think that a closed mason jar would build up and combust. Probably not but that would be my initial fear.

Any way you'd go over a detailed step by step of your cooking process? Or are you a more 'by feel' type of guy?

You can use butter to make bullet coffee or bullet tea actually pretty good stuff.
