Honestly thank you for that I’ll be sure to get that tomorrow morning really insightful and helped me a lot cheers man!

Another quiestion, with buying seeds online is it a high risk of it being taken at international customs? Thanks
I've done approx 25 orders in the last 3 years thru international and only one order never arrived.
It was replaced and that order arrived

DONT use dishwashing liquid!! Big no no!! You need to use Castile soap, which is 100% pure soap made from vegetable or seed oil ie olive or even neem. Dr Bronners Castile soap can be bought from any health food shop and even has one made from neem. NEVER use dishwashing liquid.
Hey Venus,
I've always used dish soap and warm to emulsify, why is it bad? I have insecticidal soap and 100% pure soap I'm assuming both are better?

Gents,

Newbie here....

I wanna give you lot a whole-hearted thanks for what I've learned in the past couple of weeks of trawling through this thread of local Aussie growing information/knowledge. I'm currently reading it from about a year ago (page 1300-ish?) & will eventually catch up. Along the way, I've picked-up a shitload of valuable info. You've saved me from making a swag of newbie mistakes.

I'm a homebrewer of long-standing & see a lot of newbies try to throw everything but the kitchen sink at their brews, thinking that it'll make things better, when KISS is the answer. I see parallels here.

I have ABSOLUTELY ZERO WHATSOEVER interest in hydro. I'll grow my plants either in the ground, or large pots with amendments. That's my choice & what I'm going-with. I've got some soil & extra bits to play with this weekend.

I know that it's a bit late to start things, but I've got a few seeds germinating now & a few on the way from Europe.

A mate's wife has a chronic pain condition that she's found relief from cannabis, but doesn't like the "head" effect, so I'm doing a favour for them (since they can't grow for themselves) & will grow some low THC/high CBD plants.

I'll get back to you when I catch-up.
Good luck mate.

Nothing wrong with hydro/soilless though. I think there’s a common misconception that it causes problems in the end product etc a bit like people with home brew spirits tainted with tails saying it tastes like metho when it’s just the oils making it taste like crap. Most of these issues aren’t from hydro growing but from an unregulated nutrient market using nasty chemicals like pgrs that have no place in growing weed.

And so I’ve come to the conclusion of my lower light experiment, as the Shishkeberry is over 3/4’s down. And the result is,,, an unnecessary inflation to my power bill LOL. I’ve got enough popcorn to feed an entire cinema I reckon!! Fuck sake!! The lower branches closest to that light did ok but that was about it. But at least I gave it a go and have learnt from it.

Sooo, the super sour widows all got hair cuts today lol!! There’s no way in hell i’m gojng thru this bullshit again x5!!
Fark that!!!

And so here’s miss shish nearly at the end of her run:(View attachment 4210220
best thing you can do is work on getting a nice even canopy and removing any nodes hat arent going to fill out. saves you so much time and effort at trim time.

i think i smoked too much tonight cause this has me confused as hell
Yep.
Coco please correct me if im wrong as I'm not 100% sure on the new classifications.
Anything with over 1% (?) THC is Broad leaf and anything under that is Thin leaf.

Strains is another world slowly being replaced with Cultivars as Cannabis cultivation becomes more inline with Horticultural practices. I'm guessing the use of the word Clones will also slowly be replaced by Cuttings. Flushing will lose its two or three meanings and become leaching and watering. Defoliation is another term that will slowly be replaced with more accurate terminology. At least in the sense cannabis growers have been using it.

i've got a fucked spine and it's indica for pain the more couchlock the less pain i feel.
Ive got a fkd up Vertebrae from spinal degeneration caused from Agent Orange - Horrible stuff now affecting grandchildren of vets. I'm the opposite I prefer a High rather than a stone as I hate just sitting and if I don't move around my back kinda locks and I have trouble getting up. I often have to crawl slowly around the house until it loosens up. If i'm stuck on the couch i'm not earning money either.

I think that's one of the greatest things about medicating with cannabis. We can try different things and different ways and find what works for us individually. We are in control not the doctors or big pharma.

i had to google it but it seems your a little confused.
there is 4 main categories under this new system.

broad leaf drug producing (what we commonly refer to as indica)
narrow leaf drug producing ( what we commonly refer to as sativa)
broad leaf Hemp
Narrow leaf hemp

other than that nothing has really changed broad leaf drug producing landrace varieties are still going to have more body effect and Narrow leaf drug producing landrace varieties are still going to have more of a head high.

but basically as someone else said not sure who it was but in this world of polyhybrids the lines are far more blurred than that.
