Samsquanch security on duty. 'Nuff said
the shotgun is not for protection of property.....it's for self protection. Can you legally defend yourself with a gun in Canada?...Corso's are beautiful dogs, like a giant pit.
Yes but you can still go to prison using a firearm on a person for trespassing or stealing, in general in Canada we value human life more than property. We can even have an AR-15 in Canada assuming we meet the requirements and pass the background check.
Your best bet for protection is simply being present, or having detourants such as motion sensing flood lights, or dogs.
only inside your home and only if your life is the only option.the shotgun is not for protection of property.....it's for self protection. Can you legally defend yourself with a gun in Canada?...
so somebody can physically assault you in canada and you cannot defend yourself? Muggers must have a field day...only inside your home and only if your life is the only option.
You can defend yourself...you just can't blow his brains out.so somebody can physically assault you in canada and you cannot defend yourself? Muggers must have a field day...
No, you aren't getting it. You can defend yourself with "necessary force", but if you have opportunity for escape and decide to fight instead and kill the guy, you're going down for at least manslaughter. You cannot legally posses a gun on the street and it must be locked in a safe separate from ammo in your home. Not much good for protection. If you get jumped on the street you can beat the fucker until he no longer poses a threat and you can use any object you find around you to make that happen - all legal. If you hit him one more time than it takes to remove the threat, you are guilty of assault. You cannot use violence to protect property in Canada. Not quite as satisfying as the street justice in the States, but a whole lot more civilized imho.so somebody can physically assault you in canada and you cannot defend yourself? Muggers must have a field day...
We all (at least where I am from) grew up fighting, if someone physically assaults us we physically assault them right back. We can defend ourselves with a reasonable level of force, if someone comes at us with a deadly weapon we can likely kill them and walk, if someone comes at us with fists or a bat we better just break bones.so somebody can physically assault you in canada and you cannot defend yourself? Muggers must have a field day...
I'm almost 70 years old, so I would have to physically fight some 20 year old?!?.....crazy laws in canadaWe all (at least where I am from) grew up fighting, if someone physically assaults us we physically assault them right back. We seem to value life here more than our neighbor, property is replaceable, a life is not.
Well your correct there. No real match obviously. But we have weighed it out up here in Canada. We came to the conclusion that less guns is overall safer. So we don't carry them around. We have them, but use and think of them differently than most Americans do. Rarely is any perpetrator shot by someone defending themselves in Canada. We have folks shot in crimes but it's usually random or targeted. The cops shoot more people here by far than regular citizens do.I'm almost 70 years old, so I would have to physically fight some 20 year old?!?.....crazy laws in canada
The chances of that happening are extremely remote. Most areas don't have that kind of random violence, especially against elderly. It happens, but not often. A dog or a well-placed baseball bat beside your bed is your best defense.I'm almost 70 years old, so I would have to physically fight some 20 year old?!?.....crazy laws in canada
Except the caveat to that scenario is the fucker youd want to be and get away likely has a gun or knife. Canadians are not able to defend themselves and thats pretty fucking pathetic. No, you aren't getting it. Hmmmm maybe in a perfect best case scenario. Most people are taken off guard and whatever action hero scenarios they've envisioned go out the fucken window real quick. We can defend ourselves with a reasonable level of force, if someone comes at us with a deadly weapon we can likely kill them and walk, if someone comes at us with fists or a bat we better just break bones.
By the looks of it you have no need to abandon what you're doing lol. Although politically California has become quite the uber liberal mess.
But i can still have a gun and defend myself with it.....California really doesn't belong in the USA, we are an animal of our own.By the looks of it you have no need to abandon what you're doing lol. Although politically California has become quite the uber liberal mess.
It is very basic fight or flight stress response. When attacked people do only a few things, they comply (if it is a situation such as a robbery where this is an option), they resist, they freeze, they run. You are bound to that fight or flight response unless you have trained to overcome it (such as with military training etc). Spend time envisioning hero shit, you will likely end up finding it and getting hurt in the process.Hmmmm maybe in a perfect best case scenario.
