Roughly 310And what was the average PPFD in each case?
This place is better than comedy central on a Saturday nightbut do you think they give off the same amount of BTU?
Funny cause i was looking to get cxm 22's with active heatsinks and get a driver to at least push them to 75% and was told it was too much driver and to push them softer i would rather dim them down if i like then wish i could turn them up what driver would you get today i was going to get the 480h-c2800AND, I run luminus 22, and I just did you a little test. at 30 watts each, You have to be within 5 inches of the COB to get 50,000 lux. 50,000 is the sweet spot for growth.
SO, i have 4 Luminus cobs running, at 120watts, like your suggesting,
My light is 24"x 24", I have 13 inches between center to center of each cob.
Now, if i crank it up to 60watts each, I get 50,000 lux at 18in under cob, and 60,000 in the middle of the 4.
at 75 watts each cob, I get 50,000 Lux at 26 inches like a blanket over the area.
Im a idiot, so I got 1400B drivers, and these cobs still have 40% more of juice they can take. Because I was hosed by the fkn efficiency clan here.
C2100 is what you want, then the driver CANT overload the COB. WIth that c2800, you can either overload the COB and only fit 3 cobs on it, where as the C2100, you cant overdrive the cobs, and also, fit 4 cobs on it.Funny cause i was looking to get cxm 22's with active heatsinks and get a driver to at least push them to 75% and was told it was too much driver and to push them softer i would rather dim them down if i like then wish i could turn them up what driver would you get today i was going to get the 480h-c2800
Yes it does was planning to run 8 to start and add more as i go i have a 5x8 spot and the hps lamps been killing my fan leaves to say the leastC2100 is what you want, then the driver CANT overload the COB. make sense?
How many cob u using?
https://www.led-tech.de/en/LUGA-COB-Horticulture-Bloomdang, 8 would be awesome man, 3000K90CRI?
I think im going to rebuild my light rig, and add 2 of the Luminus horticulture cobs, and 2 more 3000Ks, for a 3.5x3.5 area. I wanted to add more reds, but i think these will set it up nicely,..
keep us posted,
edit, cant find the horticulture cobs, no one sells them i guess,.
CRI is how human eyes see the light, CRI has no effect on plant growth as a HPS has a CRI of 22.Luminus has the Best COBS on the market, pretty much proven recently. As for the CRI, the higher the better. The sun is 100, so if you can get that, lol, usin it, but you want the highest CRI u can get.
Now, here, again, is why everyone is on the Lower CRI better crap, is because you get more lumens from a lower CRI cob, the a higher one. I would trade lumens for CRI myself. Because we are tryin to replicate the sun, Go highest CRI u can find.
CRI is how human eyes see the light, CRI has no effect on plant growth as a HPS has a CRI of 22.
thats what i was told also. The sun is 100CRI, so Id imagine, thats our goal CRI wise.CRI does affect plant growth, higher CRI contains more spectrum of light, you will have different growth under different CRI's as it will affect the phytohormones differently.
Weird lol4 luminus COBS, 75 watts each
103,000 lux center @14inches ( 1560 PAR )
84,000 edges of 3x3 ( 1292 PAR )
80,000 lux center @21 inches (1,230 PAR)
50,000 edges of 3x3 ( 769 PAR)
Now, I did you Lux meter, with conversion of 65,
Now i see alot saying a lux dont read far reds, I turned all my lights off, but my GrowMau5 puck, with lux meter 1 inch away, i get 18,000 lux. Shouldnt I have gotten 0, if it doesnt see red or blue or IR, orrrrrrrr anything but what i can see with my eyes?
Have been working on a new light, and went with the cmt series. Both cma and cmt's look like an upgrade from the cxb's.good find Boatguy,
CRI does affect plant growth, higher CRI contains more spectrum of light, you will have different growth under different CRI's as it will affect the phytohormones differently.
Plants don't see the CRI of a light they see PAR, CRI is for human eyes, has no effect on plant growth whatsoever.thats what i was told also. The sun is 100CRI, so Id imagine, thats our goal CRI wise.
