When something revolutionary comes out it flies off the shelf. All I'm saying is that they sell what sells, not necessarily what's best. The market determines where the profits are, and - like all new technologies - markets often lag. How many typewriters were sold in the early days of the home computer? Who the fuck buys typewriters these days? Long before the Vic 20 and the Commodore 64, techies were building their own computers in their garages - just like Wozniak and Jobs.
LEDs are the future. Walk into any hardware store or drive down any street and it is LEDs that now shine from warehouse roofs and street corners - not HIDs (unless you live somewhere undeveloped). They're already in people's homes and businesses. Because they are efficient. And they work. And they are only getting cheaper and better.
