LEDs to supplement my 315wLEC in 4x4

Ok I'm brandnew to CMHand LEDs. I know my fitting is good for a 3*3 footprint it's a LEC fitting so rather than get a second one id like to supplement it with some LEDs
I'm using a 4*4ft tent ( 4 single cobs maybe?) Adding total 200w of cobs
Is it best to make these myself or are there single cob led pre made lights available? I found some 100w ones but I think that's too much.
Cheers

400 watts is your minuim goal for that area,

i would do 8 luminus, at 50watts apiece,

Is this ontop of the LEC yea? I mean I'm only looking to add light over the 1ft areas outside my lecs footprint ..
Unless your thinking 8lights around the outside lighting up 8 individual 1x1ft areas.

I move my LEC to the side a bit and put a 200 watt vero beside it (2VL timber). I can dial it down to get it right but it is better coverage.

the 315 almost does it and is good for my personal consumption and then some but i want to supplement it this time too.

I wouldn't add that much light if you're running the 315. I think you'd be better off with your original idea of four COBs, in the corners. Four strips around the perimeter would probably be even better.

Which strips have the pole to dish out 50w per 1m area. I haven't even looked at strips :-/

This sounds like the easiest option! IL look at this v 4x 50w strips if there's any pokey enough. Hopefully get perfect coverage

Depends on the spread of your reflector. We use adjustawings which gives quite a wide spread, rectangular sorta. If thats your situation then you could use samsung lightstrips, about 100 -150 watts each side. Luminous is also good, you can get them in 90CRI which is nice. The flexibility to have 4 lights independtly hung is hard. Id start by looking how all these alternatives fit on a hlg240 and move from there.

Thanks, I've been looking at Samsung strip's the F series Gen.3 looks like it'll be about 240 watts using 4x 2ft strips. Cost about $300 to build.

Can I do it cheaper with cobs 50-70w each?

a lot of people use luminus cxm22 cob for flower you would use 3000k or 3500k(CXM-22-35-80-54-AC30-F4-3 ). its a 52v cob so its easy to figure out how much power they consume. (2 amps = 104w, 1 amp = 52w). if you run 8 of them at 1400ma, 73w each. 582w fixture. 36w/sqft in a 4x4.

Fuck Digikey - buy 8 of the the 22" inch strips from Arrow for 12.66 each and free shipping. You'll save damn near enough to pay for an HLG-240H-24 driver - which you can ALSO get from Arrow.

I'd up that wattage if you can, there's lots of shadows in the canopy.
Yeah, there is a couple, but i got it close and low, and move it around some just to get this scrog even. then Ill crank it up to 250- can go to 300 even,
