My son was a nute mixer at the an in washington state in our town.

He quit,
I don't use them for several reasons.
I honestly don't know if a nda is in play
So I will just leave it at the price.
Which is a good enough reason.

Plus I don't want the guys at the grow store laughing behind my back.

But in all honestly
I too use gh when I use bottles.

Now you could argue that I could do it cheaper even still and you would be right.

But price is not my main concern here

I've never bought nutrients from a shop. Always online and I can shop in the nude

Has anyone tried Cutting Edge products? They make a 3-part that's supposed to be very good.

I just bought a quart of their micro (6-0-0) because it has twice as much boron as GH micro.

My last run with greenpoint gear showed a lot of hollow stems and I'm hoping the extra boron will strengthen them.

BTW, I chose the AN Nutes because of the PH Perfect Technology. Do I have to wait some minutes after mixing the nutes with water in order for the Ph to self-regulate? How do this work?
• Water: Planning to use tap water. My city’s tap water hardness is 250.

And well, the last doubt I have: i’d like to maximize my colas and yield. I used to do 2 o 3 apical cuts, but as i read I thought maybe I can get the same with FIM, but I have never done it before. It seems like with one cut I can have the same result that with 2 or 3 apical. What do u guys recommend? I want to get from 6-8 colas per plant.

I also want to try some lollipopping, but idk if this actually helps in getting bigger yields or not. Should I do this before going flowering?

I know its a lot of stuff to do for a newbie, but I’m a perseverant person and I want to achieve great results.

My prior crop I got some hermaphrodite plants and I think I committed the error of cutting low leaves and stems when flowering. Well, that or the strain wasnt good enough (i bought from a new seed bank). I hope dinafem goes well.

I’m open to learn and advice.

Ok I will admit, I went at you a bit harshly. Sorry, I just saw advanced nutrients and I went off! But to answer some of your questions.

1) Coco needs more cal mag and less potassium. So big bud coco most likely accounts for that. You can use regular big bud in coco, you just might need to add more calmag.

2) I'd just top them and then wait a few weeks and top again.

3) lollipopping doesnt increase yield but it does help with air flow and removes all the little pop corn nugs from the bottom. so your choice. I like to lollipop though.


But seriously, after you use up these nutrients look into something else please. I really like the price and simplicity of jacks 321.(and they havent been accused of any weirdo shit)

First of all, I understand your anger, so thanks for cooling and helping with my doubts. I didn’t know that about AN, thanks for telling me, I guess I’ll pick other nutes next time, because I don’t support in anyway child abuse... but as someone said, I spent a lot of money buying the nutes, so I want to use them of course.

The problem is that in my city growshops have few products and I am not so experienced in this, so the ph perfect thing really makes it easier for me.

I will look for calmag at stores, as growshops here don’t have. What format should it have? Liquid? Powder? I read in another thread that using tap water somehow diminushes the need of calmag. Is this true?

Do you have any tip about pot size?

Again, my apologies for being rude at first.

Tap water does contain extra cal but im not sure if it will be enough. Next time you're at a grow store look around for a decent priced calmag. to me their all the same. A liquid would most likely be a tad bit easier to use.

as far as pot size, remember this, the bigger the roots the bigger the fruits. Always try to use the biggest pot you can fit in your grow space. I once used a 20 gallon smart pot in a 3x3 tent with organic water only soil. It was one of the easiest grows and the weed was fucking amazing. Here are some pics
