hello there,
I have done 4 indoor crops in soil and now I changed to coco. I used Biobizz try pack and also added rootbastic and bloombastic to the process and got “decent results”.
I want heavier yields but I’m not able to do a hydro system, so the best option for me seems to be coco. So, I have some doubts that maybe you guys can help me with. First of all, the characteristics of my actual grow:
• 2.4 mt x 1.2 mt x 2 mt tent.
• Strain: Critical + (Dinafem), feminized.
• Number of plants: 20.
• Medium: coco (Cocomix Biobizz).
• Lights: 2 x 600 watts growbloom lights.
• Vents: 2 x 125 mm TT extractors, 2 x 125 intractor.
• Pot size: I’m in doubt here, as I have 11 lt pots and 7 lt pots. I read that with coco you can use smaller pots (7 lt in this case) and have the same results that you get with bigger pots. If I use 11 lt, will my plants grow too big for the space I have?
• Nutes: AN 3 Parts plus additives (voodoo, b-52, bud ignitor, bud candy, overdrive and planning to get Big Bud. Another doubt here: in my country we dont have the “Big Bud Coco”, only the plain Big Bud. Can I still use the non coco one and have good results? BTW, I chose the AN Nutes because of the PH Perfect Technology. Do I have to wait some minutes after mixing the nutes with water in order for the Ph to self-regulate? How do this work?
• Water: Planning to use tap water. My city’s tap water hardness is 250.
And well, the last doubt I have: i’d like to maximize my colas and yield. I used to do 2 o 3 apical cuts, but as i read I thought maybe I can get the same with FIM, but I have never done it before. It seems like with one cut I can have the same result that with 2 or 3 apical. What do u guys recommend? I want to get from 6-8 colas per plant.
I also want to try some lollipopping, but idk if this actually helps in getting bigger yields or not. Should I do this before going flowering?
I know its a lot of stuff to do for a newbie, but I’m a perseverant person and I want to achieve great results.
My prior crop I got some hermaphrodite plants and I think I committed the error of cutting low leaves and stems when flowering. Well, that or the strain wasnt good enough (i bought from a new seed bank). I hope dinafem goes well.
I’m open to learn and advice.
Greetings.
