Hi everyone,
1st off can i say thanks to everyone at rollitup.org for all the information i have filled myself with browsing extensively through the site.I have been following DWC and Barking Mads grow, and the reason i have chosen to use the flood tables is because i intend to use AL. B Fucts 2 week harvest plan that i read about on the site when i move in a coula weeks.
I know this is my 1st post and the start of my diary but i will be updating every couple of days with pics and i would appreciate any input which might help me.
Ok so the grow started about a week ago, ordered 10 Great white shark's from Greenhouse seeds and 10 delahaze from paradise seeds. The delahaze were out of stock so i only got the GWS which i germ'd, paper towel method,100% success and i popped them into small rockwool cubes that had been presoaked in ph 5.5 water.I am waiting for 10 super silver haze from greenhouse seeds which will go in when they arrive.
So my setup will be:-
XXL Budbox (2x1x2)
2 x 1m2 Flood Tables (arriving thursday)
2 x 600w Lights (MH for veg,HPS for flowering)
6" Extractor fan with carbon filter (arriving tomorrow)
250 envirolite for seedlings/1st 2 weeks
Ph pen
Ec truncheon
Canna aqua vega A+B

Basically i intend to veg for about 4 weeks then flower for 8/9.I plan on having 8 plants per flood table each under a 600w mh/hps aiming for a good yield and im hoping the white shark lives up to its 500-800 gr/m2 estiamte.
I have a couple of questions if anyone wants to help me:
When should i put my seedlings under the 600w mh,they have been going 7 days now since germ'd?
I have added some pics the couple are from a week ago and then its pics taken today:

I havent fed them any nutes yet only ph'd water, and they are under the envirolite still, so what do you all reckon,

when should i put them under the 600w mh light??

I thank everyone for any input!!!!

you could do it now but the light will have to be a good distance from the sprouts which will cause them to strech. I would wait until there are atleast 3 sets of leaves and then drop the 600 watt light in as close as you can get it. time wise i'd say another week, week and half at most. I look at it this way They are fragile at the start so why risk causing damage or killing if you can avoid it!

Thanks guudbud they will not be going under just yet then i will wait for the 3 sets of leaves dont want them goin all crispy on me but 1 of them looks like it has an its only been under the envirolite.

Anyway, i put up the fan + filter had to go get some chain from the hardware shop and using good old cable ties if anyone has had any bad experiences with them let me know so i can think of somin else. I have added the pictures of my setup below its a 6" fan with filter in a XXL budbox, think im gonna need to buy a fan speed controller cos the suction on this thing is amazing, i just wanna double check that ive set it up right, my cf is hanging in the middle of the tent, and the fan is sucking the air through the cf and out at the top. I have an inline fan on my shoppin list probably next week though, also my flood tables havent arrived yet and roots are beginning to come through the bottom of the bigger rockwool cubes. Anywayz,

1. 1 of my plants has a brown colour sort of burn on its leaves, but all the rest look green and healthy, anyone have any ideas?? I didnt water them for a coupla days but they were still pretty moist from the previous watering. When i water i dip in ph 5.6 water for about 10 secs then give it a lil pinch to drip off excess water,is this ok?????

2. I have been givin them ph 5.6 water,no nutes at all. When does anyone advise starting, i was thinking i could just give them maybe a 0.2 ec feeding in the next few days, just to get them used to the nutes. I did this when i started a previous grow but i had to pack it in early cos i split up with the missus, and the plants responded very well no nute burn or anything, but they were Lemon from GHS???

Have a look at my photos and please feel free to comment i am open to all advice as i need it,thanks

As you can see the last pic has the brown marks on the leaves, they are not holes but they look like burns even though all the other plants look green and healthy..................?????

Ok so its been about 12 days since i popped them in the rockwool cubes, and they seem to be coming along ok, if anyone could reassure me would be very nice lol....

Anyways, im still waiting for this flood table they tellin me tomorrow so fingers crossed, ive got good root growth through the cubes they are poppin out of the bottom, but not under light, but i still wanna get them in the hydro system ASAP.

Also, would i be right in saying that its supposed to be around 70% humidity in vegging, and about 50% in flowering, the temps were slightly high today im only running the circulating fan at the mo the 6" isnt on because its so loud, waiting for primair speed ontroller collecting wednesday??

Some of the plants looked a bit droopy today could this be cos the extractor fan aint on?? i havent fed them any nutes yet i was maybe gonna give them a little dip in a 0.2 ec nute solution, just to prepare them for the hydro, i done this last time and they loved it no nute burn or anything, and after they been in the hydro a coupla days im gonna fire up the MH, does this sound ok???

Has anyone got any idea why i have got 1 plant in the pics which has brown/reddish spots on the leaves, it is only the 1 plant, i havent fed them any nutes so it cant be nute burn, and its only the 1 plant, any ideas?????

Also another question, when the clay pebbles are delivered i can remember readin i need to rinse them???? With normal tap water or with ph adjusted water, and how much do they need to be rinsed do i need to scrub them???

Anyways i hope im doin ok a few comments with advice would be nice as i intend to keep this journal up to date until harvest with dry weights etc, and thanks for the help already

You dont have to wash the clay pebbles in PH adjusted water, just cut some holes in the bottom of the bag, open the top and put the shower head in the top of the bag. You are just removing dust.

They get knocked around in transit. You are just making sure no dust gets into your system. Keeps it clean, stops blockages etc.

Ok quick update but no pics aint much changed in 24 hours, i turned on the CF and 6" fan today and the temp has been at 24.1 all day, i mean it hasn't even moved 0.1 all day, but I may have overwatered them so im letting them dry off.

They looked a bit droopy 2 days ago so i watered them thinking they wanted water but they are still droopy so im gonna leave them to dry out and see if they perk up, the hydro system will be here soon and they will be going in, 1/2 inch above flood level as recommended by Al. B. Fuct who is pretty much 'DA' man for me with regards to flood and drain, and hopefully they will be ok, as soon as they go into the hydro the 600w MH will be fired up and hopefully some nice plants will emerge........

Yo, looks like you got your shit down

I'd say stay off the nutes until you get your flood table and the plants in the table.

And when you do get the table kick on that 600w MH, they look like there ready for more light

I want to know this.
How much did u pay for the 600w MH/HPS and how much for the XXL growtent and ventilation?
I am looking for an upgrade and i can afford it.
I have a 400w hps/MH.
would a 600w make a big difference?
And how many plants do u think could fit in the grow tent?
Could 20 fit in there?
