How big is your tent? what kind of filters and 8'' duct fan are you using? Do you keep the duct fan running all the time? sorry I'm new and trying to learn in any shape way or form.
I have a 5x5 tent 8 in inline fan 963 cfm(or something real close) and the big carbon scrubber but it's way over powered! The fan runs through a cool tube 1k hps and Ithe on the the same timer as the lights! I also have a 10k btu window unit ac to keep everything cool during the summer during the winter Temps stay perfect and the helps keep everything warm in the house.

If you have anymore questions just ask!
I have a 5x5x7 gorilla planning to run 15 cobs in it total of 750watts with 4 plants. Stupid question; Is the duct fan suppose to run all the time? I read somewhere as temp rises, duct fan kicks in with one of those controllers and once it reaches a cert temp it shuts off.

it really depends on your set up! My window unit is always running and controlling Temps at about 70 in the room so I have no need to run my inline fans during the dark! I have another oscillating fan that's always running! But if your extremely worried about smell I would leave it on 24/7

And I don't use a controller I count on my ac to maintain a specific temp 24/7 and since it's a flower room only I keep it cold! Lights and inline fan kick on every 12 hrs during darkness it's gets to about 68ish and during flower I stay between 76-78 I adjust depending on what stage of flower give me a min. And I'll take pics for you!

OK I'll put the pics in order and explain starts at the ac air goes into the tent

Then the carbon scrubber takes air from inside the tent blows through the light out the tent and then out the room!

I also pictured the amendments I use and my Lil area I'm proud of that u should consider organics I've never been happier since leaving chems! Next time go for a harvest every 4 weeks
You will need 3 areas, like 1 closet for seedlings, 1 for veg and 1 for bloom.
4 week seedling, 4 week veg and then 8 week bloom.
It all balances out nicely.
My plan is very similar to that I just need a second light for flowering I already have a veg room and the seedlings just get put where they fit lol

I used some shifty string to tie the ones leaning over to the top of the tent! I've heard of yoyos but I have no idea the actual name of the product someone help plzzz!!

WHAT DO YOU GUYS DO???

No your actually not kidding one of my tallest plants was leaned over like it was taking it in the ass I had to tie her to the top of the tent!

Mind telling me a lil about silica? I'm 100% recycled organic living soil so I don't use any chems

this is from silica blast: "Silica Blast reinforces and enhances plant tissues leading to bigger harvests, increased fruit quality, and higher resistance to environmental stressors.
Potassium silicate has been used in field crops for years due to its positive effects on plant vigor, photosynthesis, transpiration and hardiness. This readily available form of silicate is absorbed and bound in the plant’s tissues within 24 hours of uptake.
As it is absorbed, the highly available form of silica creates a silicate matrix within the cell walls of your plants. This helps to physically increase cell wall structure while protecting against external stressors.
In extreme environments it is common for your plants to transpire excessively which can lead to a decrease in metabolic functions and stunted or no growth. Using Silica Blast can help decrease these common problems."

imho, silica is a great supplement and if growing with leds, almost a necessity. check it out, i don't think it would hurt honestly think it would help. i'm running megacrop from greenleaf nutrients, it has it in it and the plants really are healthy. tried plenty of lines before and am most impressed so far with it as it's a one part nute, start to finish.

it definitely helps with stronger stems. tie em up, build a better foundation next run. you'll be straight. there are training techniques, and lighting techniques, preferred spectrums for veg vs flower, even environmental variables you can change like keeping your day and night temps closer that would help promote less stretch and create tighter internodes, that will create stronger stems. also, feeding veg nutes until you see buds, before switching slowly to a flowering nutrient profile, instead of switching to flowering nutes as soon as you switch to flowering light schedule. this is something i learned first hand. listen to the guys with the best looking plants, this is what i do. plus, read legit articles on horticulture and greenhouse growing practices. mj is a plant, there is no SECRET to how to grow it. honestly, the less you do, to a point, the better off they seem to look and healthier they grow.

I don't use any nutes ever! Only compost teas, coco waterings, plain water, and organic top dressings!
