Drip Drip Goes The Uniseal (Leaking!)

oops forgot this one

have an little 200gph inline pump that will drawn the system in less than 15 mins.

Spill overs look great.

Have you done a pressure test yet with those rubber fittings? That would definitely help with flex :)

have not tested the rubber fittings for pressure, but i have them on some 300 gallon tanks and they hold up fine.

should get a test running in a little bit. we will see how effective the spill overs are.

i think they should work great to even the waterflows
 
there will be no pressure, but as i have said they hold back 300 gallons in a tank outside, so leaks are not an issue with these and pvc...

But you cant say water will not put pressure on them (hydrostatic:))

sorry guys, still haven't had time to test the setup and spill overs. this weekend for sure.

if the test goes well it will get constructed in the flower room...

The amount of water is irrelevant. Only the vertical distance between fitting and the water surface.

i disagree, there will be some pressure if the water is stored against an exit. vertical height will indeed create more pressure, but the pressure is already there. the drain on the storage tank is at ground level, so the tank holds 1" to 3.5 feet of water.

really guys, this conversation is irrelevant for this application. these couplings work fine...

wow i figured wrong

So your saying if you had a million gallon tank
But only 1 inch over the fitting youd trust a hose clamp? I know they work great on cars for pressure in the radiator so i know they will hold a lot.

But i also dont believe its irrelevant
 
I Was just simply relaying my exp with uniseals and water.

As I've had systems pass the drip test with the waterline just above the uniseals and had them weep when the water was added to operating levels:)

The one inch is all that matters.
 
so yes, there are small leaks. its not the couplings :bigjoint:

once i glue those pvc slip fittings all will be good. i don't even think my bulkheads are leading :shock:

hope i didn't just jinx myself.

what do you guys think, me likey...

Nice they look very even now :)

If its a weeping leak then it can seal it self off with salt build up.

If its a drip drip leak youll need to give it some attention.

a little pvc glue and we will be dry !!!!

need to disable a tent to move this system in... trying to motivate myself with a red beer and bowl of ghost train haze :weed:
 
Cool if you can try to leave some peices unglued
So you can break it down for clean up

I was stoked that my big boy pump didnt cause leaks in my feed line if i seated them together as far as they can.

Cant wait to see some plants it it :)

the plants should love it !!!!

my dwc used to rock nicely until i got root rot.

the only pieces i need to glue are the pvc to pvc coupler (the pvc that screws into the bulkheads).

i don't think any of the other PVC fittings were leaking so i may leave them unglued. thanks for the tip
