Do you have any historic examples of a responsive gov't?Better government is one that reflects the will and serves the needs of the largest number of those affected by it.
Responsive government isn't the same as big government.

The US gov't was quite responsive to the reported event of the Syrian gov't gassing its own citizens, yet as time goes on it seems we are making exactly the same mistake we made 1 year ago in the same country based on the exactly same triggers.
The responsive gov't that did this thing is also quite large yet the responsive action above had nothing to do with the welfare of its citizens and was much to the detriment of other people.
Responsive (or perhaps more well described as reflexive) gov't does not seem to be better gov't in this situation in that we agree.
