Should I prune a little or wait?

You would be shocked and surprised. I have no issues with quality and way more quantity than I want or need. This weed can grow surprisingly well in extreme conditions. But when you consider a large portion of its genetics are equatorial my growing conditions are not only tolerated but appreciated by the plant.

Here ya go. I'm not advocating anyone else grow like this but it works for me.

Are you keeping the roots cold? Is that why your able to get away with high temps?

Nope but I'm not growing NFT anymore either. When I grew NFT I had to keep my reservoir chilled, soilless provides the necessary root buffer. But I didn't mean to derail this ladies thread with an off hand comment.

@MisssMaryjane I would love to see a picture after your trim job. How much did you take off?

I just took a few bottom branches off each plant and I felt bad doing it. A friend told me to take just a little bit everyday and not to go overboard. If I have time I might trim a little more today and maybe clean up some branches. Their still pretty bushy but I'll take a pic and post it as soon as i'm done...

i'll usually prune once in veg, after i top. i give the plant about a week or ten days after the topping, then i'll pick off the leaves that are blocking light from the new growth. thats all i do in veg most of the time. i may end up doing it twice if a plant grows especially quickly.
about two weeks before i put a plant into flower, i'll put it into its final pot. a week after that, i'll lollipop it good, and take a few leaves out of the middle, the ones growing on top of each other and butting up against stems, to improve ventilation and penetration.
once its in flower i prune once when the buds are set well, about week 3 or 4, and i may or may not do it again about a month later, depending on how bushy they get again. and i don't take all the big leaves, maybe half, all the ones that are blocking light and airflow. i tried more aggressive pruning for a while and i think this is better

View attachment 4120799 What's up everyone, I have 4 girls that are a bit out of control. They are just starting the second week of flower(no buds yet). I'm thinking i may need to lollipop or cut some of the leaves back but not sure when the best time to do it is...

Any advice is very appreciated. ThanksView attachment 4120795 View attachment 4120796 View attachment 4120797 View attachment 4120798 all!

Man, that’s almost exactly my program. When I’m not being a lazy bitch, anyway.

I do it kind of incrementally, but that’s about the timing I use.

Been a minute since I posted a pic, anyone want to see mah ladies tonight?
Not my tightest work, but they’ll do.

A few are still in need is some undercarriage cleanup.

Yep it was me who started it.

Took me forever to trim using a razor blade. I think i accidentally sliced into the main stem a few times, but she didn't seem to mind. lol.
I got some spring loaded garden trimmers from Walmart that work well. They have a micro bladed edge. They were like 6$. Good investment imo instead of using a razor blade. I also pruned mine up a bit. Kept one of the fan leaves it was bigger than my hand. Looking good.

I have done it and produced some amazing product doing so. You all notice it gets really hot outside sometimes? Plants survive that just fine, but keeping humidity up (when it is hot) is paramount for growth. VPD is pretty important, surprised we don’t talk about it more.

I mean, I am chronically running too low RH but I try to keep it in the ballpark of “good”

Ha, thanks, I like them. They are small, but seem happy. Next run I will actually do some veg time, these got pretty much 0.
6 plants, 4 strains.

When I started this grow I literally had two broken arms. (I was maliciously run over by a teenage girl, no shit) Did the best I could.

Some good growers found your thread right away, you’re in good hands with Roger and MMG and a couple others here. Cool deal.

Just caught that in another thread, much sympathy.
My left arm is great, now. My right is fucked up, serious surgery on it. A notorious break called “the terrible triad” so my right arm may be permanently crippled. Currently range of motion is less than 50% 2 months after surgery. It will match my left foot this way, lol.
