hahah yea i dont need to hide anything...Well only the cops lol... umm so what if i do a 600watt light and have 2 fluorsents if i spelled that correct on each side of the wall so both side of the plants get light and also the top... So what do you think?Think 50W of HPS per sq ft of lighted floor/tray space.
Hiding your plants from your mom is easy. Drill a 1/4" hole in each of her eyeballs with a .22 LR. If you can't bring yourself to do that, get your own place to grow in.
Must be the new maths.is a 5x10 room 200 sq ft
Any strain will come up to about 1m tall if clones are flowered immediately after cutting. See https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/6592-get-harvest-every-2-weeks.html.... what strains r out there that are short plants? sog system?
Very true al...So what if i bought fem seeds ( 10 ) and i will raise them and see the sex and just clone them? I have high times magazines and it tells me all about how to clone etc etc.. So i guess your right... whats better u think aeroponic system or a ebb system? What will i have a better out come do you think... Like i said I have a 5x10 and I need room to walk around...Trying to think where I can put my clone box..I dont need a big space for it.. What size light could I use for the clone fluros?Feminised seeds are not a sure thing. They come up about 80% female, never 100%. You can invest space to raise mums and to have a clonebox so you raise only females and can have them whenever you need them, or you can waste space growing males until you determine their sex.
If you want a grow that will supply you with buds frequently and perpetually, you need a clonebox, a small area for mums and then as much area as you can muster for flowering.
Don't bother with the extra cost of feminised seeds, just get ordinary ones. You'll get 50% females on average anyway.Very true al...So what if i bought fem seeds ( 10 ) and i will raise them and see the sex and just clone them?
see https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/15030-batch-clones-rockwool.htmlI have high times magazines and it tells me all about how to clone etc etc..
Flood systems are much simpler and more reliable. So i guess your right... whats better u think aeroponic system or a ebb system?
2-3 of the largest CFLs you can get at the grocery will serve up to 30 clones. What size light could I use for the clone fluros?
Rotsaruck with the organics.A M tall for flowering clones right after rooting? I flowered 9 clones 10 days after clipping and they ranged from 15-24 inches. Fox farm ocean mix with coco, castings, and perlite. Strains were bubba kush(about 24 inches) , purple kush(about 15-18 inches), gods gift(same), and two random ones about 20 inches tall. I found clipping many bottom branches and shooting for one main cola gives you a good yield per plant with better top nugs. Seems to me plants can bet about 8 inches apart, but im trying 64 in a 4x4 tray at 6 inches apart. Clippings went straight into tray at 18/6 2 days ago. Plan on 7-14 days of 18/6 then to 12/12. GH nutes and a hanna ph meter. Dont have an EC or ppm meter yet. Damn im high... this got long. lol babbling GL all - Stoned
Spreading bullshit is ALWAYS worthy of neg rep.
I'm not uptight and this isn't about me, it's about the science.
No, I have had no bad experiences with watering in lights-off because I don't do it.
Photosynthesis stops in lights-off and thus so does transpiration. If you water in lights off, the water will just sit there in the rootmass. This isn't my opinion; that's just how plants work.
NEVER water in lights-off. It's a great way to encourage root rot.
Hey Al (and everyone else wanting to chime in) ive recently switched to the hydrofarm active aqua grow flow ebb/flow 12 site, 5 gallon buckets with hydroton. Im not sure on cycle timing. It takes 11 minutes for the system to fill the buckets and the same time to drain them, so should i let it flood for 1 increment of 15 minutes, then drain (leaving them flooded for about 4 minutes before draining) ive been feeding every 6 hours during lights on for 30 minutes. I WAS thinking of adding a flood cycle during lights off but i am decidedly against it after reading the comments here and looking into the science. What do you think are the optimal flood/drain times and frequency for my setup?15 min flood duration is excessive, no matter the medium. You need only raise the water level in the tray to overflow then shut off.
If using pellets, which hold next to no water, you can flood more often. The action of water draining out of the pots will draw air into the rootzone. Air has more air in it than aerated water, so yes, flooding pellets more often and for a shorter duration is preferable.
You should water every 2-3 hours during lights on with hydroton.Hey Al (and everyone else wanting to chime in) ive recently switched to the hydrofarm active aqua grow flow ebb/flow 12 site, 5 gallon buckets with hydroton. I thought hydroton holds enough liquid that you dont need to irrigate 6 times within 12 hours? Care to elaborate? Keep in mind that im using a modular bucket system and not tables. It takes 11 minutes to fill my buckets, they soak for 2.5 minutes and then drain. You still think running this every 3 hours is beneficial? FWIW i also use a venturi pump to keep everything aerated VERY well. You should water every 2-3 hours during lights on with hydroton.
If your buckets retain water I guess you could go every 6 but the constant feedings bring more O2 to the roots as well as the ability to run lower ppms because plant is getting constant feed. Every 2 hours maybe much for your buckets but every 4 or 3 will help.I thought hydroton holds enough liquid that you dont need to irrigate 6 times within 12 hours? Care to elaborate?
