Yea Project gonna go back to more of a full watering/dry out period. Next go around I plan on using hay to keep top inch or so from drying out in between waterings.

Also I will be adding a touch more perlite and a few extra amendments to my soil mix.

Can’t wait

You actually want it drying out between waterings..that's the whole point..using hay indoors will just keep everything damp/wet..those conditions are asking for trouble. If the medium doesn't get a chance to dry a bit, it won't be properly oxygenated at the root zone, and you may likely develop some type of mold/pests under the hay. hay is good outdoors in hot/dry climates..as that's when the soil can dry out faster than wanted..but indoors, that should not be the case.

Farmer,

I have been foliar feeding it with epsoms couple times a week and it does appear to perk up a bit with the spray. This picture was right after a watering, which is usually when she droops, hard to get a read on this plant with watering. It will perk up for a day after a water then start to droop quick. I water it and sometimes it will perk up other times it will stay droopy. I’ll let her dry out and keep up with the foliar.

Thanks for the help !

Any other organic, living soil growers have any ideas ? All ears
I think your foliar feeding could be 10% of the problem aswell. After the water evaporates from the leaves, it can lead to salt residue from the ebsom, and under lights can scorch your leaves. I always give everything to the roots.
The plant doesn't look to bad...Let the soil dry quite abit and see if she perks up.. Afterwards on your next watering give it some Epsom salt and see if that greens It up some.. Maybe get some distilled water instead of using you chlorinated water..
I would follow this to a T, if your runoff is over 5.5 ph. And if it is soil do a slurry test.

hey Tim,

Soil on all 4 plants has been right around 6.4-6.8. I was a bit worried adding epsom to the water as didn’t want to introduce too many salts into the soil. I am going to cut back on the foliars and let it ride for the remainder. You recommend adding a tbsp/gallon to next watering round?

Also anyone in this thread brewing teas? If so anyone have a solid flower oriented tea recipe? Right now I have been using microbe man’s basic EWC recipe, was thinking of brewing his more nutrient based tea recipe. I think it has fish hydroslate and kelp meal added to the EWC base

By the sounds of it, you dont need magnesium if your ph is above 5.5. Check out a chart about lockouts and ph. Mag will start to lockout at around 6. Id slowly try to bring the ph down to about 5.8 or 6 for soil. (id also dose A LOT less than the bottle states)
Maybe use a tiny little liquid sulfur to buffer it a little at a time everyother watering from here. Id try and get the ph down. If your soil/roots start out around 5.8. If your soil is properly buffered it should rise over time, and by the time you're in bloom should be just under 6.5.
I also like to use gypsom to buffer dope, and my veggie garden. They're both limestone, except the gypsom (instead of lime) contains sulfur. It can really help stabilize your ph between 6 and 6.5. Which is absolutely in range for soil. But i wouldnt give it any gypsum until its coming down.
Hope this helps
Tim
P.S. Hay and straw will leech and raise your ph.
You can "scratch" gypsum into the top of you soil.
Dont use ph up/down either

Great info Tim. I had bad luck when my soils in my last runs got under 6.0.

Seems like hay is a no go, one of my tangies has a thick layer leaves as a mulch in this run. It’s the taller of the two on the left side. But I think that’s more based on genetics, so not sure if it has any effect regardless.

I will look into the gypsum that sounds like a better replacement for the lime.

Update,

Watered everything yesterday, last water was Monday. Plants still don’t look great, also found a few leaves with more damage, I sprayed them with Azamax today, too and bottom of the leaf drench.

I’m wondering if the mites have something to do with the issue as well.

Looks sooooooo much better mate.
Mites are a problem aswell. Im not sure what to do, besides spraying. Which you dont want at this stage!!! Im sorry i cant help there. Someone might know though.
Best of luck.
Tim.

Yea, I sprayed today with the Azamax, I think since it is essentially concentrated neem oil it is technically ok to spray pretty close to harvest. I’ll probably hit them again with lighter dose in couple days then see what happens.

Still a few super 0DBBEDC7-E567-4E2C-88DE-0BC4AF35E97C.jpeg clawed out leaves. This strain is proving to be very finicky as here is a pick of a tangielope right next to it96621527-D228-474A-B48C-20EA4852F432.jpeg

Little update, blueberries till looking sad

Fed everything in tent, expcept one blueberry(back right in full pic) a Tea per microbeman recipe, nutrient recipe, not the basic EWC one.

Both blueberries still looking sad. I’ll see if the one that received Brew today reactes any differently, positive or negative. C0CA1169-6B24-47AC-9230-28D6D8286497.jpeg

I do think I went a little light on the perlite in my mix, wondering if that can be part of the issue with the blueberries. I have also read that this strain is a pain in the ass in general so who knows.

Looking good Project!

Major jealousy on your Blueberries, after trying them for this first time I think I can make them better next run.

Didn’t take any clone on these so I’ll have to pop more seeds.

We’re yours clones or from seed?

Yeah I started 10 seeds and kept the best for a mother 4 months ago, pics in the journal.

I cloned 18 and that's what happened ;)

If I had the room I would have gone the same route, I gotta check out the whole journal.

I popped 4 had two males and ended up with these. Did you end up with a lot of variation in the 10 you popped?

Still looking good mate.
Is your ph still stable?
Organic brews can raise the ph in media. It may as well be a liquid mulch.
Hows the ph further down the pot? Any hot spots?
Looking good.
