Doctor Who is the only TV drama I watch, and I'm a year behind on that. Not sure how I'm going to like the new lady Doctor. But then every time there is a new one, it takes some getting used to.Oh how I wish.
As long as I stay a male.....I mean, not being sexist or anything.....I like ME!
LOL!
I used to think that back when #3 became #4. Say, you watch Gothom? Alfred the butler is played by #3's (John Pertwee) son!Doctor Who is the only TV drama I watch, and I'm a year behind on that. Never saw Gothom. The sum total of my TV watching is F1, FSU basketball and Doctor Who. My Dish Hopper records all new F1 and Doctor Who. But I have to work to watch Noles Hoops.I used to think that back when #3 became #4. Say, you watch Gothom? Alfred the butler is played by #3's (John Pertwee) son!
There are Doc's I like and some I didn't so much..
Amy Pond kinda got overdone.
There is still the Dr's daughter running about somewhere (Tennant episode)
As far as a female Doctor goes. It was inevitable...
PBS is my start too.Never saw Gothom. The sum total of my TV watching is F1, FSU basketball and Doctor Who. My Dish Hopper records all new F1 and Doctor Who. But I have to work to watch Noles Hoops.
It seems like DW has more tear jerkers than it used to. I agree about Amy Pond, but I like River Song. I do forget about the Doctor's daughter. She will show up at some point.
I got my start with old Tom Baker episodes in '83. Been watching ever since. We used to get the show on PBS, and I did see some of the older Doctors too.
Ah yes, remember when there were just 3 channels and if you were real lucky, you were able to get a fuzzy UHF channelPBS is my start too.
Got every available dvd for the old school episodes. Still catching up with the new..... Through Tennant and into Matt Smith...Getting close to Capaldi era.....
Wife says I'm bonkers about all the movies we collect. Then sits back and watch's her choices, cause nothings on.....
Oh, man. And Johnny Quest was on one of those "fuzzy" channels too!Ah yes, remember when there were just 3 channels and if you were real lucky, you were able to get a fuzzy UHF channel
From an Assyrian clay tablet c 2800 bcei know there are good people out there, trying to raise good kids, and some of them are succeeding, but for every one trying, it seems like there are 9 that just don't give a damn, don't watch their kids, don't want the responsibility, and honestly, aren't responsible enough to supervise themselves, much less a child
http://www.primewire.ac/watch-mr-terrific-online.htmlOh, man. And Johnny Quest was on one of those "fuzzy" channels too!
Remember a "super hero" show from, oh I'd like to say 62 or 63. It was some skinny bumpkin and he took a "pill" (as needed) to become "Mr. Terrific"?
I've only come across a very, very few who remember that one. Single season....Hell, as a kid, I loved it! Something besides Beaver and all the damn westerns.
Still, I did like Wagon Train and a few others. Highway Patrol - 10/4 bye....
Then it was "up to bed." Mom and dad would put on Perry Mason and that spooky fucking Perry Mason theme had me shaking and looking for "something" bad coming...... LMAO!
Aw hell, my age is showing....
neurodegeneration? possibly, i think it's much more likely that it's accumulated wisdom, and a lifetime of experience. young people always have to find a reason they're right and older people are wrong. then they get to be older people, and realize they've been wrong half their lives. i'll be here waiting for you all to catch up...but i'm old, don't take too longFrom an Assyrian clay tablet c 2800 bce
“Our Earth is degenerate in these later days; there are signs that the world is speedily coming to an end; bribery and corruption are common; children no longer obey their parents; every man wants to write a book and the end of the world is evidently approaching.”
Plato and Socrates complained about them as did Seneca and Peter the Hermit. It’s is a sign of neurodegeneration in the observer
Then play the wise old sage and don’t post shit about “young people”neurodegeneration? possibly, i think it's much more likely that it's accumulated wisdom, and a lifetime of experience. young people always have to find a reason they're right and older people are wrong. then they get to be older people, and realize they've been wrong half their lives. i'll be here waiting for you all to catch up...but i'm old, don't take too long
