Hey old farts..how many over 50 yrs?

In late 2011, I had a lot of clothing that no longer fit me and I considered starting a web site to resell clothing of people who had lost a lot of weight. The name was "changeofclothing.com" but the numbers wouldn't work out.

December 8, 2010-294.5 pounds, 6' 1" tall, 18" neck, 54" chest 44" waist. I hadn't exercised since I left the Army in 1988 and I looked like retired football player so I decided to do something about it.

1000± calories a day, elliptical from 12/10-6/5/11 when I started running and did my first half marathon 8/18/11.

"According to the AARP, seniors in America lose over $28 billion every year to fraud, and shockingly, 70% of it comes from people they know: family members, neighbors, caregivers, and “friends.” And, worse yet, almost 90% of family fraud doesn’t get reported by seniors due to shame, fear, and potential repercussions."
and AI is making it even easier...

funny thing is when i got really sick and reached out to some org's they all didn't give a shit, infact saint judes started calling mine and my wifes phone twice a week to ask for money while I had leukemia and they knew it. this is when I changed my mind about tax exempt status for charities, i don't think anyone should be, ever

They were able to save me a ton of money on some horrendously expensive prescription meds to the tune of about $15k that I was responsible for. Gotta have your ducks in a row re: paperwork, etc. If you have an advocate at your prescribing GP or specialist they can sometimes help. Well worth a review.

edit: here's a couple more:

I’m 66, retired twice and have been using cannabis since the early ‘70s. I have grown off and on since then but I was never really organized. In the last year I have gotten serious about indoor gardening. I was at my local grow shop and I was gifted a Planet of the Grapes clone. Had it not been winter time I would have put it outside but that was not an option. I’m now firmly in the indoor gardening club.

I have a tough time identifying with most if not all of those regrets.
I lived my life how I wanted (sometimes edging in to grey area of the law), and overall am very satisfied in retirement.

I'm going flyfishing now!
