Since you were military you should remember that everything the military buys has to be made a certain way and meet the testing requirements set forth in the procurement contracts. It has to come from acceptable verifiable sources as well, but you know this. That’s expensive, I’m sure you remember some bolts that you could have bought at a big box store for a dollar costing ten times that when ordered from supply. The very reason why the American people have to foot being overcharge by contractors, is behind fools like you. I spent 22 years USAF while obtaining a degree from Emory-Riddle in Aerospace Engineering. If you think that 25 million is needed for a refrigeration system on two birds you are dumber than first thought. I guess we back to paying stupid prices once again. I bet you also think that paying 7,500 for a 10 cup coffee pot is a good deal as well. We did it for all our C-5.
And what the hell are you talking about supporting the entourage that supports air force one ? Do you think this plane will feed ALL support ? It will only feed those on-board. Which is about 70-80 people for about a week . The support planes like your C17, KC-135, fighter escorts, E4B. chartered planes carrying some press and other personally that could not fit on AF1. None of these are feed from AF1
By disagreeing with fact, you make yourself an idiot. You've been doing it for three days straight.Sure where did I say that? moron
being prior military lets me know that the government enjoys overpaying for shit. 387 dollars for a flat countersunk washer is dumb, stupid and retarded..but yet we have and do. Same fucking washer you can get at home depot for cents. You keep thinking you getting something different. we also paid 180 for rechargeable flashlights. No different than any other flashlight except for the military colorSince you were military you should remember that everything the military buys has to be made a certain way and meet the testing requirements set forth in the procurement contracts. I started reading a bit about government procurement contract laws but then I realized that I don’t care.
It's a mobile White House. It hosts entire offices, defense systems, the whole nine yards.wait? You have no reliable aircraft in the airforce with low mileage that could carry a fat redhead retard around?
Appart from adding flares and a few doodahs there is nothing much you can do if someone really wants to shoot you down or blow you up.
Thank mercy no one was that stupid yet, it would make all of the rest us look bad.
It's a top of the line cooler. It practically makes it's own ice.Fuck the president, he can use a yeti !!!
True that. It is meant to keep the president safe and the command and control systems running even if we are attacked with nuclear weapons. If you believe the movies, it even has high tech escape pods. It's a mobile White House. It hosts entire offices, defense systems, the whole nine yards.
It's a whole hell of a lot more than just a 747 with some flares on it.
All contractors love government contracts for a reason. You can overcharge and will never be question. Serious how much do you think it will cost to design and install a 70 cubic feet temperature-controlled storage unit ? It should hold about 2500 meals ? Start with your metal cost. I assume it will be titanium. using todays cost of Ti per lbs would put us at about 619,850 for the casing of one. We can argue stainless steel will be used but that would even be cheaper. I think stainless would be avoided due to weight vs Ti. So I say about 1,239,700 for two Titanium casings. Are they using the same line fittings ? or will they have to add different lines ? Lets add 2-4 million for that which ever way. Installation another million hell add two...or have your military personal do it for free. For the life of me I don't see 24 million in this shit and I'm still over pricing.Has anyone seen the schematics to show what other systems have to be removed to get the refridgeration lines and devices? My guess is a lot has to come out and go back in. That alone will make it expensive since every system that gets touched needs to be tested and certified.
But this points to the stupidity of Trump. The week he took office he killed an expenditure to design the next AF-1. This one has been in service for a loooong time as far as aircraft go. But because it was initiated by Obama, it had to die.
This will mean that we could go years without a reliable AF-1. Long after trump is gone, we will be paying through the nose to keep this one flying.
It would be far cheaper to replace it, but no, that was obama's plan.
What for, it is all smoke and mirrors. People run trillion dollar empires with their own planes. It's a mobile White House. It hosts entire offices, defense systems, the whole nine yards.
It's a whole hell of a lot more than just a 747 with some flares on it.
No, they don't. They're in them for a few hours on their way to where ever they're going. Their planes, compared to Air Force 1, are tinker toys. In time of war, the entire nation can be run from that plane, not just one business. What for, it is all smoke and mirrors. People run trillion dollar empires with their own planes.
You keep assuming the plane is just for him. It's not. The ENTIRE intelligence agencies, joint chiefs, they all have staff on that plane every time it leaves the ground. The president is pretty much just a passenger. It's everything else that's most important.Come on, this fucker is busy with executive time (watching TV and masturbating) most of the day. You could put 20 offices in the plane it won't help shit.
You're wrong. Period.I don't believe it changes one thing in the life of the average american.
Run the nation. Act. Over unbreakable encryption. What they gonna do?
I Gotta admit when i liked this post i thought it was meant sarcastically...That's actually not a bad price.
