No electricity needed with blumats they have a ceramic cone that operates a pinch valve as the cone dries out it shrinks opening the pinch the valve. They work quite well once you have them set up right.

How much time does it take you to water ? I only used them while I was doing verts and didn’t want to raise the lights every time I watered. Watering time is a really good chance to give the plants an inspection for any bugs,mould or anything else that doesn’t look right.
And you don’t just fill a Rez with automated systems first theres setting it up and ironing out any kinks like blockages and leaks then there’s dialling in the drippers which will drive you nuts if you let them. Add to that monitoring and cleaning the system regularly and for a grow like yours it’s probably just as much work if not more to do properly.

Once you start running multiple lights it becomes a good option or if room is really tight. I had a barrel just outside my grow and flower rooms with a little pump and some poly pipe hose and could properly water 12-18 plants in under an hour which isn’t much time. Some guys are really good or experienced at shit like setting up irrigation and it’s no dramas but it’s not as simple as they make it look
