Have a super skunk strain first time growing. And am curious does this strain take a while to take off been in veg for 5 weeks started from seedling. Growing in 3.5 gallon dwc under mars hydro 400. Ppm are right at 580 does that seem low for the size of my girl? Bout to post pic20171222_125139.jpg

Is going to sound a little elementary and apologize if you’ve done this but have you changed your light cycle from veg to flower...some/most times doing it will automatically start it

No bro I haven't I wanted to let it touch my scrog net first so I can fill it out with the stretch lol

OK then I would veg for a little while longer and when you’re ready I believe switching her to 12 and 12 will do the trick... unless she’s an auto flowering Seed
Either way whatever you’re doing you’re doing it right she looks quite healthy

Thanks yea she is quite healthy but I feel like for her size I might be shorting her on nutes ppm are at 580 right now does that seem low to you ? Maybe thats why she not blowing up like I want her to going on week 5 of veg she should of been bigger I think

It might be because of your nutrient .... However looking at your leaves no sign of of malnourishment
That is very low for your PPM‘s as usually I will start out with that much in my first or second week and go up to about 700 750 around he third week
If you decide to up your nutes.. just watch for yellowing drooping burning tips all the telltale signs Of over doing it
I would increase it by 100 for three days and see how it handles and then go it up to another hundred and see if that doesn’t give you more growth

I'm thinking of going 700 next res change hope that does the trick . Have you ever grown super skunk ?

WAY BACK ... When I used Mars ... Not anymore tho , but I found the sweet spot is 15" for these .. Also realize YOU ARE NOT POOLING THE WATTS AS STATED. , you are near half of it.

You will need CALMAG ( in case of issues ) as most LED systems seem to bring out that deficiency during the grow.

Anyways I grew Super Skunk ( auto ) and she grew like Cousin IT from the addam's family. I don't know what your light schedule is but I used 18/6. Not sure if yours is a regular photo seed , but if it is ...drop the light so she can do her thing.

Even tho I moved on from those .... You will too , it will grow personal yield . I went to HPS , then Quantum ... More light = More Bud.

You might want to lower to 12 inches .. i’m running Mars Epistar 320 and black dog 1000 ... and I have both of them at about 18 inches only because the black dog is incredibly strong and that epistar produces a little more heat than I thought it would
I have a Mars 960 And I’m using that for veg at about 12 inches

K I will drop lower my last grow was a lot better but by this time I had ppm around 800 so it might have a lot to do with it 20170918_162145.jpgthis was my last grow around the same time so I'm thinking it's the ppm but I will drop light lower

your light sucks.Plant at 5 weeks in DWC should be 3 to 4 times that size.You should be getting to the end of veg in 3 weeks.

Yea I'm pretty sure it's not a very good light but I used it prior to this grow and it did good at 2 weeks last grow I had my ppm at about 600 I barely gave this plant 680 ppm at 5 weeks it was my doing. I was starving the plant on nutrients so I doubt it's my light.

I did a rez change yesterday Sunday ppm are sitting at 688 and I can see the diffrence it is growing faster in just 2 days.
