It’s a good idea to keep track of the amount of kWh you normally use aswell and keep that about the same,a big drop in use is more of a red light that a big increase.

Sorry about that forgot what thread I was on. I have the barrel composter( not big enough for my indoor and outdoor garden so I built a walkin compost pile using 3 old pallets with some rusty old fence gate hinges (total cost 0!) And this one holds plenty of material for my fert needs and recycle all of the greens, veggies that come out of the kitchen of a family of four. Just make sure to keep the "greens" and "browns" in the right balance or you will not get what you are hoping for. A google search for how to compost kitchen waste will get you on your way. Also, really easy to make worm castings( I am way too cheap to buy them crazy expensive here in US). All you need is a plastic tote (think hydro resevoir) some newspaper and the red wiggler worms( now that you have amazon you can get them)and this is the best fertilizer I have ever used inside or outside. Hope this gave some ideas....Everyone recycle save a ton of cash AND save the planet!
