Can anyone help identify this issue? Week 4 flower started seeing purple stems with small orange/brown spots in week 2. Using foxfarm ocean forest. Transferred from 1gal to 3 gal two weeks before flip. I did screw up using bloom right away (newb mistake). White Cookie from CKS. PH in at 6.5-6.3 runoff has been around there. Using two 315s cmh in 5x5. Temp around 78-83 lights on and 70-74 lights off. 50-60% humidity

you need to get a tub thats bigger than the pot the plant is in, fill it with luke warm water. damp the soil the plant is in, wait 30-40 minutes. take the plant out the pot sit it in the tub with the water. gently wash all that dirt off its roots. then take the plant to the kitchen sink gently run luke warm water over the root, clean off as much dirt as possible then get put fresh dirt in the pot with the plant. oh and use purified water from the store.. all that can b dont without shocking or damaging the plant. i know from experience

I appreciate the advice , that seems pretty aggressive though no? Im going on 5 weeks flower now

PH is off, youre getting nutrient lockout. ^ I 2nd what they all said, flush with some water.

Hittem with some plain water... short flus
Thanks I’ll try that again without cal/mag straight water? Im pulling my hair out wondering if its a def or what. These pictures Im posting now were the original signs of issues

Most lockouts are caused by salt buildup on the roots or imbalanced PH. I know just recently my tap water jumped from a natural 5.8ph all the way up to 7.4ph. Just because your tap water worked at the beginning doesn't mean it will keep working. Check it.

those original pics are a cal/mag deficiency. If you are in ocean forest and its the first time that soil has been used, it -pretty much- has to be a lockout from salt or ph.

Ive read that I shouldnt be phing my water going in but I have been the whole time. I dont think Im doing in correctly though. Also have city water and Im adding calmag everytime. Thank you for the response though. Would you suggest straight water no cal/mag just water? Also should I get distilled water? Im not to sure

Do me a favor please, go flush some water through your plant and check the PH of the runoff. Let us know what its coming back as.

you need to do a flush and then 1/4 to 1/2 strength nute, if you are doing city water you shouldn't be deficient, more of a lockout due to PH

i agree, I stick to coco/perlite, soil is so... dirty.. :spew: and I really don't miss the gnats that come with soil.

to OP, are you letting the soil dry out in between watering? if so, how dry? are you giving it any nutrients/supplements? and do you have airflow over the top of the soil?

Thats whats blowing my mind I checked the runoff on 6 of them and it was 6.3-6.8 varried but in the middle for a average.... PPM was 700-800 .5 conversion. Wouldnt it be totally out of wack one way or another (5.0range or 7.0 range) to have a ph lockout?

thats why i edited and asked more questions, sorry I had missed the part up top u said about ph. my bad

^ he is in ocean forest soil, he doesnt need nutes at that size.
I’ll check again tommorow but totally screwed up when I transfered them from 1gal-3gal 10days before flip I started using Bloom nutes not knowing better. Once I realized what I did it was too late to go back to veg nutes..... I thought atleast. I know a very little bit totally a learning experience

It is an art form sir. Nobody has mastered it fully, some are still masters amongst us though. I've only been doing this for a year so I screw up every grow and just be sure to learn how. Every grow has had higher yields, better results, and new mistakes.
