Over 50 dead? Over 200 wounded at the most recent count?

WTF ELSE WOULD YOU CALL IT?!?

Cuz he's white? An American? Maybe cuz he's older and just grumpy because it was late and he was sick of the noise?!

You have to be the densest fucking moron ever to think this is anything else!

The bodies speak for themselves, you special feather on an asshat.
No, he's not a terrorist because he wasn't trying to influence people or the government by his actions. That's the story we know today. He wasn't affiliated with anything or anybody so far as we know now. He was a mass murderer, committed evil and is despicable but his intent doesn't fit the description of a terrorist.

On the other hand, if the same acts under the same circumstances had been committed by a person of Islamic faith, or a Black or Hispanic American, he would have been falsely called a terrorist by right wingers. Not because it's true but because right wingers don't care about the truth.

There are some strange details about his life that don't make sense. I'm pretty sure we'll know more about this in a week or so. Right now, just like in Orlando, the crime fits the description of a mass murder and not a terrorist act.

It's nice that you felt the need to drop the n bomb twice in two posts for no reason, welcome to politics!

If chastising someone for their bigoted behavior isn't acceptable, then fine. But don't take my words out of context. Douchebag said he called black people "the n word", someone protested, and he beat them up for protesting the promotion of racism... lol...you're arguing against me chastising a racist?? Ooookay
Fuck you.... We've already been waiting too long, you insensitive piece of shit.
like I said, troll someone else. I don't actually know you, not do I care about your pathetic inflammatory attempts to get a rise outta people. I used to really like RIU, now I only sign on once in a blue moon anyway. So do your worst, demonize me if you like, and have fun arguing with yourself...lol

Can you point out where the thing you alluded to happened?

no worries mate, there's no context in text. Ironic, huh?

Anyway, I wasnt just throwing the "n word" out there all willy nilly, just disgusted by certain people's actions.

I don't think people should use inflammatory words as an excuse to get into a fistfight.... it's just sad.

Really, why anyone is bickering about vernacular in the wake of such a tragedy escapes me. This is a fucked up, horrific act which occurred. You're response should simply be to condemn it, express sympathy for those victims directly involved, and move on.

It's not another platform from which you're supposed to spout your bigoted rhetoric.

You guys are arguing over definitions of words, when the simple fact is that a fucked up human being took the lives of dozens of other humans.

Stop usin it as an excuse to flex your nuts. Maybe some of us knew victims who died last night.
Mass shootings in America turned into a joke after a man shot up an elementary school and a good portion of the country decided it was better to claim it was a hoax than do something about gun control.

Not to be insensitive, but sanity dictates that you have to be desensitized to this shit in America. It will continue to happen and the body counts will get bigger. The gun nuts don't care or aren't smart enough to think logically.

White people in this country are cowards. They buy a gun to feel safe even though it can be shown that for the average person they are less safe simply by owning it.

Do you own them for protection?
Nope, I have a handgun I can get at pretty quickly but that's just because I thought it was a cool little safe (fingerprint, keycode and key options).

I suppose I'd grab it if I heard someone downstairs but I wouldn't go actively looking for trouble.

Thank you. I didn't see that in my quick search. I was just looking for the numbers and ended up on a CNN page.

That's fine. I won't judge. I don't have a "list" to put you on. I was just using the same broad generalization tactics I keep seeing used as a defense from certain posters.

A few of my friends quite enjoyed you're "bulbous erection" btw.
So are you acknowledging that Democrats of old were the alt-right conservatives of today? If so, I can walk back my statement as you were just being pedantic.

Regarding your friends enjoying my bulbous erection; that's what she said.

No. That's what the NRA wants you to do.

What should happen is that the people and those representing the people have a serious rational discussion on what to do about gun control. Not just "move on". That is irresponsible. Very much so.

I agree with tyystickk on this one. This is an act of terror. Just like the fella in Orlando committed an act of terror. (fyi, they refer to the Orlando shooting as an act of terror)

This old fuck's intentions may not have been to "terrorize", but that's what he did.

Jeffery Dahmer terrorized his victims. Ted Bundy his. Islamic extremists terrorize people. And this old wind bag terrorized concert goers last night. All acts of terrorism.

This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard, what a fucking dumbass.
If you own a gun for protection you are
  • much more likely to kill yourself with it than use it for protection.
  • Next most likely is that you or a family member will accidentally hurt somebody with it.
  • Next most likely is that you will intentionally use it on a family member.
  • Next most likely is that you will brutalize your spouse or significant other with it.
  • Next most likely is that you will be hurt when you try to use it in self defense because bad guys have a lot of experience in this sort of thing.
  • Waaaaaaay down on the list is successful use of the gun in self defense or defense of somebody else.
You are a tool and listen to right wing propaganda. I think you should put your gun to it's most common use and save us the expense of keeping your worthless demented ass alive when you get old.

If the only requirement is causing fear then yes he is a terrorist.

Officially, terrorism is a political act to influence policy of a government. It's also the common definition of the word.

ter·ror·ism
ˈterəˌrizəm/
noun
  1. the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.

We can make up our own language, as tty most certainly does or we can choose to speak a common language. It's a free country. I won't defend your right to speak see4ese or ttyese but I don't care if you do.

Indubitably.

On both accounts.

That may be true when you factor in suicide and homicide solely against killing an intruder. Take away the suicide and homicide from guns (which you'll do with or without a gun) and you're 100% wrong. Do you try to be this fucking stupid or does it come naturally to you?
You are about 5 times more likely to shoot yourself or somebody else in an accident than successfully use it to defend yourself. Gun nuts are so ignorant.
