Is Farmer.J another schill? Those plants don't look too well.
The only thing that ends quick is you ya 2 pump chump
Please stop posting on my journal, the Canadian Patients forum and everywhere else you take your morning dumps.
This strain has really slow growth. Probably 2 more weeks veg. I want to fill 2/3 of the screens before I flip.No stretch! I like that lol. Going to flower soon?
Looking much better. Have you topped or fimmed yet?
At least...I always found it easier to train through the screen during the stretchThis strain has really slow growth. Probably 2 more weeks veg. I want to fill 2/3 of the screens before I flip.
Yeah that's what I am thinking. Do you think if I switch to hps on 18/6 they will grow faster or keep the metal halides on 18/6? Or one MH and one hps?At least...I always found it easier to train through the screen during the stretch
Switching to hps might increase the node spacing...not really growing faster just not as bushy. Cant hurt give it a try. When you switch to 12/12 they will deffinitly stretch outYeah that's what I am thinking. Do you think if I switch to hps on 18/6 they will grow faster or keep the metal halides on 18/6? My grow box runs 2 400w bulbs
For sure.Switching to hps might increase the node spacing...not really growing faster just not as bushy. Cant hurt give it a try. When you switch to 12/12 they will deffinitly stretch out
I would switch to hps to put some height on those girls. Especially if you want to train through the screen. Maybe switch back to mh for the last week for finishing...resin production. The stretch is part of flowering so I always count from the day I switch to 12/12. I also run veg nutes until the stretch is finished. For sure.
This is my first time using MH's, I used to use hps and a 200w /6500k CFL for veg and hps and a 250w /2700k CFL for flower. When I moved stuff around this spring the CFL's were in a box together and both got damaged so I didn't bother to replace them I figured I'd try MH's.
Would you recommend keeping the MH's in for the first 12-15 days of 12/12 (until I notice flowers) or should I switch bulbs when I switch light cycles?
The reason I ask is I was always a believer that day 1 of flowering isn't until I see flowers begin to form. That's usually when I switch to bloom nutes also so I was planning to switch bulbs the same time too.
Yeah what you are saying makes sense. I'll veg this week with hps on left side and MH on the right. Next week they can have hps for the reminder of the veg time and flower. The flush week I will try MH only, for resin production. Not doing the 72 hours of dark before harvest this time.At least...I always found it easier to train through the screen during the stretch
Nah no peticular pattern. Just do the best ya can to spread the canopy out.Yeah what you are saying makes sense. I'll veg this week with hps on left side and MH on the right. Do you use a pattern at all when you train through the screen?
I have only scrogged once and just filled random spots that time.
So I switched the bulb on the right to hps and the smallest plant is straight below it. Came home from work late last night it's almost as big as the others.I would switch to hps to put some height on those girls. Especially if you want to train through the screen. don't worry as long as you're learning.....Day: 58 from seed.
Right Bulb: 400w MH
Left Bulb: 400w HPS
Light Cycle: 18/6
Defoliation: #3
Nutrient Change: #4
Water: 30L Tap Water (10L for each Plant)
Nutrients: AN Sensi A&B 100ml/each (80% strength)

The plants were under a small LED light for the first 30 days. The root growth was phenomenal but not so good vertical growth above the medium. Two of the plants responded very well to the metal halides. One plant did not and it grew very slow. Last nutrient change I switched the bulb above that plant to HPS, it responded really well to it. The plants were very bushy so I removed all fan leaves with stems longer than 1 1/2". Next week I will take before and after defoliation pictures. I know that they are very small for 58 days old, but they are very healthy.
